That’s a much better collar in that photo. Unfortunately the collar is just a plain white band with no pattern. Even using the proper club crest and its original colours would have elevated that shirt considerably. A real bugbear of mine that is manufacturers using one colour throughout a clubs crest.

May 2003. Northern Echo linking us with Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is what it is. I’m much happier that we’re gambling on getting on Europe than gambling on survival like recent years. You win some you lose some.

"I've been following us since 62. Our fans are not like that lot up the road. We're not blinded by bull****" Their whole fan base fixed 48,000 seats just for a free burger as their owner didn't want to cough up and get it done professionally.

Kieran Trippier "casually" flying out... as opposed to?
-
Has it? I've seen the Athletic report it and assume their info is pretty spot on. Thought that being his motive to leave was a little bit off.

Seems bizarre that Ederson is willing to leave Man City because he has been "affected" by the praise Stefan Ortega got towards the end of the last season. There's likely more to it but that appears to be the main factor as to why he wants out.

Not sure where £50m is coming from for Madueke but I think that's a reasonable fee. At that price you're probably spending more on his potential and what he can become as opposed to his current ability. Quite similar to the Gordon transfer in that respect.

Imagine a Howe improved Moussa Sissoko next to Joelinton with Bruno in between.

Surely selling Minteh/Ashworth/Anderson/other(s) were plan A, selling Bruno, Joelinton, Isak etc. was plan F.

Agreed. Maybe ordinary wasn't the best description. He was a million miles away from his usual self but definitely didn't do anything wrong.

Really smart this template from Umbro for Brentford. The piping on the sleeves is a smart touch.
-
I thought he was pretty ordinary at the Euros, definitely not mediocre. He'd came back from a lengthy spell out injured and shunted out of position. Definitely didn't do much wrong but certainly wasn't any threat going forward.

Sad to see him go, he's not past it yet and still one of the best passers in our team. His first time crosses are lethal. Clearly has things going on outside of football so looks like it's best for all parties that he leaves whilst we can still get a half decent return on him. Hall & Livramento as our full-backs for years to come is pretty exciting. Hopefully.

I like how they put a circle around the toilet incase anyone missed it.

Much more technically gifted than Almiron and quite similar in always wanting to cut inside (but does have a right foot and can/does go down the right). His work rate isn't as high as Almiron's but that's probably because there's few players out there who put a shift in like Miggy. Has a sweet strike on him and takes penalties too.

Time to give the captaincy to Schar. (When Lascelles isnt playing)

A really depressing choice of colour there.
