Newcastle United vs. mackems: 22/3/26 @ 12:00 (Sky Sports)

Is this the guy who was close to tears before the first Carabao Final? -
Here's one. What's the fewest team-mate links you can get from the first ever top flight League game to today? (I'm sure there'll be sources of line-ups back then). Eg. Milner playing in 2026, was team-mates with Shearer in 2004. Shearer was team-mates with Jimmy Case in 1988, who made his Liverpool debut in 1975. And so on going back (might be a link from Milner that goes further back etc). Rule is they have to have played in the top flight on the pitch at the same time.

Everton have better players than Sunderland. -
That's a clear pen, knew he'd fucked up so just fell on to the Brighton player..
-
First time I've watched Minteh and thought he could be the real deal, and it's been from the left rather than right.
-
So if we finished 6th, Liverpool 7th but won the CL...would that mean we missed out?
-
Said it before, but there should be a max of say 7 clubs from each country across the 2 competitions. If there's a scenario where 7 were to play in the CL, there should be no English clubs in the Europa League or Conference League. The chances of the 7 being in are slim to none, but definitely feels like there shouldn't be an English team in the Conference League if we're that stacked in the top 2 competitions.
-
If they try to play it long then it should be bread & butter for Burn & Thiaw. We need to hassle and hound them from the off. We're better than them in every department, play to our strengths.
-
We made it easy for them at their place because we tried holding back. I'd go full on with the pressers and scare the shit out of them.

Of course they'll play, it's their cup final. If they miss the rest of the season as a result, they'd not give a shit.- 428 replies

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Jason Steele as well. Thankfully they're the 4th and 5th choices, first 3 are more than fine. England really need Trafford to be the real deal though as it's going to be some drop-off from Pickford coming up in the next couple of years if not. -
When it's a squad that big and he can pass on some experience, as long as he's not getting games I don't mind. Love Tuchel as manager of England. Seems like a no bullshit sort, I think we'll do well in the summer.

Hope there was no clause in if he was called up by England while he was here. -
I mean the idea of a Championship side playing Champions League next year. They'd rightly be one of the favourites for the Europa.
-
Forest going one better than Spurs by going down while winning the Europa League would be something else.
-
His face when he was walking along our byline just as they scored from the corner that he got injured for.

I think it'll be a straightforward 2-0. -
I mean obviously not that deep, but wasn't the criticism of him on here during those Germany friendlies after he'd signed that they didn't play to his strengths?
-
Interesting to see what they make of last night. If this is our peak, then that's fine. We're having it is good as we've had at any point in generations. I can live with cup runs, European adventures and challenging top 7 every season. If they want to be number 1 like they say though, how are they going to go about it?
-
You wanted an RW more. A lot of people saw we needed an ASM replacement and only really had Gordon as an out & out LW option. We had Almiron and Murphy on the right. If we'd sold one of those over ASM, we'd have needed an RW.

Thought this at the time, he dropped back far too early. Everyone else held a decent line.
