  1. This is a club which literally refused to let Suarez join Arsenal when he wanted to because of a technicality in the wording of a release fee clause. Absolute scummy club who my hatred for has grown to an unhealthy level this summer. I already hated the fuckers.
  2. I reckon that's exactly what he's done if he's sacked his agent.
  3. They'll be pushing for top 5. You can't have that front 3 and not, especially with no Europe which will impact us, Villa & Spurs who will be in the running.
  4. They're quoting Martin Samuel. Oh, Norway.
  5. Yeah I think they fucked up by signing Ekitike. Looks like they're worried about not getting Isak so have went for Wissa as a cheaper alternative and he might be too far along the line with us for it to happen. Not that that's stopped things already this summer.
  6. This. We've wanted him for over a year, presumably to compete for a first-team spot in a top 5/6 team. Age & profile, £35m is about right.
  7. If it wasn't for the Isak situation we'd literally just be taking our time getting Wissa signed and a midfielder before the deadline and I think 90% of fans would have been chuffed to bits with how the window went.
  8. Think Liverpool will end up with regrets after this window, like. If they'd left Ekitike alone we might have ended up letting Isak go for £130m-ish, in the knowledge we had our replacement secured. Either that, or they weren't as keen on Isak as Isak was on Liverpool and put in a token bid where if accepted then great, if not, meh. Similar to how they bid £12m or so for Owen when we bid £16m.
  9. Aye, these two, Isak staying a year and a CM and we're looking solid. Just a shame the top 4 have all done similar and more. Fuck PSR. Probably enough to have a Villa kind of season and at least challenge for a CL spot as well as in Europe/the domestic cups even if any hope of gatecrashing the top 4 isn't likely.
  10. Thiaw now wouldn't be too bad. A year competing with Schar for the RCB slot, then when Schar's a year older you can maybe look to upgrade and replace Schar.
  11. It'll be a shite first few weeks, but get to mid-September when the CL kicks in and he's got over it and it'll be worth hanging on to him.
  12. No just Fraser & Armstrong. Howe in the dugout for us in a bit.
  13. Starting for Southampton at home to Wrexham in a little bit. Adam Armstrong also.
  14. When we have a full squad he'll only really be a Barnes/Gordon/Elanga/Murphy injury away from the bench. He'll likely be on it for the first few games while we sort the striker situation and Gordon covers there. Really excited about him.
  15. Even just in the door and on the bench for a game or two as an option as I can't see him being match-fit.
  16. Haven't seen much of pre-season but little things like he'll stand at the edge of the area when the keeper is trying to kick it long, meaning he's sprinting back 40 yards to get back onside. He jumps for aerial balls that you can see he won't win, but gives away a cheap free-kick anyway. Maybe out wide will be better for him as I don't see a good centre-forward in him. Maybe he'll mature and grow out of it.
  17. We signed Cisse during an ACoN I think? Seem to remember them both being away when he first signed. Guessing Shola held the fort.
  18. Final draft and bench boost for MD1. Hoping Darlow gets the nod over Meslier first game then I'll put Kinsky back and just leave the keepers as they are all season.
  19. Don't think he offers anything that Barnes & Gordon don't.
