That’s exactly what happened. But it’s Man Utd at Old Trafford. They’ve just made up a new use for VAR on the spot that has never been utilised before. That’s if you even judged the tiniest shirt grab to be a foul too.
-
Extremely stylish in his Moncler coat though.
-
Obviously.
-
Softest free kick awarded though, naturally Since when did we go back a phase of play to see if we could give anything else?
-
Referee was absolutely desperate to point to the spot there. Amazed they’ve overturned it tbh.
-
Fuck me that’s never a penalty.
-
Two wins and all the Norwich scarves have been put away into storage at Man Utd Glazers and Brexit Jim must be pissing themselves.

To be fair, I’m talking to someone who has openly said nothing would change their viewpoint on this subject so it shouldn’t be too surprising for them to double down even in the most ridiculous of circumstances. Howay You’re really saying the subs coming on at 3-1 down means if they came on at 2-1, the outcome would have been exactly the same? In the same breath as telling me to ignore xG because we hit the post.
-
Aye. Playing a 70 year old Trippier with no legs high up the pitch had absolutely nothing to do with any of the goals. We played well for 35 minutes. xG of 0.36 and created 0 big chances. It didn’t work. The game was gone by the time he made the subs, as we have seen on numerous occasions before.

There are plenty of positives about Howe to point to rather than dying on a hill that we were prime Barcelona away at Anfield last night, after losing 4-1 and being totally outclassed for 60 minutes.
-
Obviously. But whether I expect that as a realistic outcome at this stage is something different. The best outcome would be winning the PL and CL this season, but I’ve not commented on our prospects of doing so as every metric is pointing elsewhere.
-
Would be the best outcome for everyone, to be honest. Leaves us on a positive as he deserves and he’d do well for England imo.

Howe is closer to managers like: Hurzeler - 32% Glasner - 38% Silva - 32% Then he is near Emery. All 3 of those working with lower budgets and resources too. We’re a top 5 team at home with Howe and a bottom half team away from home. That has been consistent throughout his time with us and is replicated in his form at Bournemouth too, but with a lower starting point. Anyone thinking that will “click soon, just because” is vastly mistaken.
-
That’s why I added in Moyes and Allardyce. But as requested: Howe 35%, Emery 45%
-
His record as a manager, including at Bournemouth, away in the PL is W51 D37 L89. A 29% win percentage away from home. It’s not a new problem. By comparison, Emery’s is 38%, even Moyes is 31%. He’s closer to Allardyce at 24% than he is Emery.

As I said yesterday, I think it depends on who is available at the time. Not much point sacking him unless we bring someone in who we think will improve us. Very difficult judgement call to make of course. That’s why football fans are not in the same position to know the realities as the Board. If we put feelers out in May and found out, for example, someone like Luis Enrique (who currently you’d expect to be an unrealistic appointment) was available and willing, I’d make the change. If we’re scraping around in a different level of manager, I see no point unless things really tanked under Howe.
-
The same will happen with Willock. He should be out the door this January if there is a deal to be made.

People in here have been saying it’ll “click” and we’ll have our “Brentford moment” since November, based on nothing other than, “he’s done it before”. I’ve seen no progress from this team since the early weeks of the season and nothing to think it’s coming. I hope it does, but we’ve had about 8 possible Brentford moments and absolutely nothing to show for it. We’re now on a run of 1 win in 6 games with incredibly tough fixtures to come. He simply has to change it or we’re in danger of getting no European football whatsoever. To keep moving forward we simply must get European football every season. It’s the absolute minimum. We can’t rely on historical commercial income to bail us out like Man Utd.
-
Where has anyone suggested that?
-
Keeping our powder dry.
-
Seems totally out of character for Holloway that does.
-
Not a clue how I did that

What about if you judge it on… Possession: 54% to 46% Shots: 17 to 8 Shots on target: 7 to 2 Big chances: 7 to 0 xG: 1.95 to 0.33 Passes: 84% to 80% Touches in opposition box: 41 to 21 Duels won: 44 to 35 Tackles won: 59% to 50%

What the fuck is this? 36 goals in 32 games for Bayern in his debut season was “settling in”?
