Sorry lads, my mistake, Howe has to play Gordon every week and Barnes out of position because we’re transitioning.
-
What transition are we going through on the pitch right now?
-
We were in a transitional period in August. We’ve had this squad since then and Howe fails to get anywhere near enough out of them. I assume you thought Isak’s poor form was due to his transitional period/no pre-season too?
-
Fuck me people still saying we’re in a transitional period A lot of heavy lifting going on to justify Howe’s tactics not being the problem.

Love how Lammens looks like a 40 year old man from 1985.

Newcastle United 0-2 Aston Villa (25/01/26) | post-match from pg. 52

Are we going to blame this one on tiredness as well? Or does that not work when Villa played in Turkey on Thursday night? -
My mate text me at half time saying “Can’t wait to see Tonali, Gordon and Wissa off for Ramsey, Wolte and Elanga on 60 minutes”. Only got one wrong and that was because Joe had to go off injured, convinced he’d have got it spot on if he didn’t.

Let me know if you can find a poster in this thread at the moment that has been absent at all over the last month.

Same problems all season, week after week.

“I’ve barely watched a game of football this season but I know Villa score lots of goals from distance so make sure you close them do… Oh.” Amateur stuff. Same issues as we’ve seen all season on display here, Eddie needs to sort it out. -
Goes to show what a remarkable job Brentford have done to stay in the league and are doing this season. Both charts should see them favourites for relegation.
-
Once again, spuffed their load against us and their season has unraveled Looking forward to them finishing 15th before their relegation next season.
-
Such a massive opportunity to make a statement tomorrow. Massive game. If we could just somehow put 3 or 4 wins together we’d end up comfortably in the top 5.

I don’t think it’s a red but I do not understand how they didn’t give it after the Dortmund one they did give, which was not as bad as Bruno’s. Just so inconsistent. You never know what decision you will get in those circumstances. Thought the ref was decent last night, great that he stuck with the oncall decision for the first goal as it was nonsense it was even looked at. He seemed to let quite a bit go and that allowed the game to flow.
-
Anyone suggested he needs flogging for PSR needs to consider how we could possibly replace him. He’s one of our most important players in big games when he’s on it.
-
It’s funny because I was thinking how he hadn’t been in the game at all and then seconds later he popped up and did that. He’s one of a few players that can change a game in an instant, he must be the first name on the teamsheet imo.
-
He wanted to sign Wilson to a new deal this summer. Why do you think Trippier wouldn’t be on his list to keep when he can currently offer more than Wilson did in his final year?
-
He wanted to keep both Wilson and Isak. He’s now struggling to get this new team functioning.
-
We’re never making a ‘refresh’ to the squad, particularly whilst Howe is here. Any suggestions of that are nonsense. Howe likes a settled squad, takes a while to build trust with players and to ensure they are clear on his instructions. He’s not bringing 6 first team players in during one window.

That AFCON trophy looks like they’ve had to find a last minute thing.
-
Paul Potts seems unnecessarily harsh. Thought he was harmless on Britain's Got Talent.
-
This is where I’m playing FM rather than reality but I’d buy him for that and play two of Wolte, Wissa and Mateta every game whilst resting the third.

So did Burnley tbf -
Leaving the field of play without permission is a bookable offence, I don’t understand why all of them weren’t booked. Sarr and Diouf would’ve been sent off, but so they should’ve been.

Bahahahaha letting the party poppers off at the fanzone by mistake in Morocco
