Rob
Diarra is more versatile than johnson so I would assume that out of the two it would be him that BS would be trying to bring in
Cajun
What he just said on Setanta Sports following the game due to the injuries of Ramage and Carr. Looks like we'll be in the market for a RB next week. Good stuff Glen Johnson and Lassana Diarra would be great signings. Not too keen on Faye for £40,000 and £2 million. 29 year old versatile player who is proven to be a good player in this league. Wages maybe a touch high but its still a bargain imo. Would prefer prefer Diarra over Johnson even if it is putting a square peg in a round hole for a while. From what I have seen Diarra is better than Johnson at right back anyway and he will probably go on to succeed Butt (and be an improvement).

Guest optimistic nit
Good stuff. Injuries were a blessing in disguise. Actually, they weren't even in disguise. Still think they could have shown a little more sympathy when Ramage went down.... http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff82/SickleeSausageRoll/ashleypogo.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif mackems.gif

Lassana Diarra looks like a really exciting prospect to me. Faye's 30 in February and we'll probably end up getting him on a three-year contract on £40,000. Joke. Parky
The players will be water carrier and back up water carrier and if we're really lucky an average right back. I'm really trying to tempt fate here.

Prices these days Faye could be costing a lot more. We have paid more in wages for players not as good.

Well the advantage of Faye is Sam already knows his strengths ,weaknesses. so no need to experiment with him! To say were not in europe I think he's done great with what's been available to him! Except maybe smith, but I never liked him anyway!
Shak
Isn't Diarra a DM by nature though? Suppose if there's no genuine RB's out there though that Sam fancies then there's no point buying one for the sake of it. Be excited to get Diarra though, nice to have someone to groom as a successor to Butt.
Skirge
Diarra is more of a DM but I would still be happy to see us get him, not to fussed about Faye but a proper RB is what we are desperate for..
Parky
More def midfielders please. Soon we can field 11 of them Sammy.
SUPERTOON
Mourinho on SSN earlier in the week when talking about losing aplayer said he has Ferreria who wont leave Then Johnson and Diarra who is 50 per cent RB
Cajun
If we sign Faye that would mean potentially our worst centre back (if you look at it as having 2 players for every position) is Taylor. I will be more than happy with that! Certainly a lot better position than we were in last season, well the last few seasons.
Skeletor
Please don't be Glenn Johnson .
Haz
Is Ferirra beter than Johnson? I seem to recall that Jimmy Milner tore ferirra a new one last season, especially in the first half?
