Habib Beye signs three year deal

What he just said on Setanta Sports following the game due to the injuries of Ramage and Carr. Looks like we'll be in the market for a RB next week. Good stuff

Glen Johnson and Lassana Diarra would be great signings.

Not too keen on Faye for £40,000 and £2 million.

29 year old versatile player who is proven to be a good player in this league.  Wages maybe a touch high but its still a bargain imo.

Would prefer prefer Diarra over Johnson even if it is putting a square peg in a round hole for a while. From what I have seen Diarra is better than Johnson at right back anyway and he will probably go on to succeed Butt (and be an improvement).

Good stuff. Injuries were a blessing in disguise.

Actually, they weren't even in disguise.

Still think they could have shown a little more sympathy when Ramage went down....

Lassana Diarra looks like a really exciting prospect to me. Faye's 30 in February and we'll probably end up getting him on a three-year contract on £40,000. Joke.

Prices these days Faye could be costing a lot more. We have paid more in wages for players not as good.

Well the advantage of Faye is Sam already knows his strengths ,weaknesses. so no need to experiment with him!

To say were not in europe I think he's done great with what's been available to him!

Except maybe smith, but I never liked him anyway!

Isn't Diarra a DM by nature though?

Suppose if there's no genuine RB's out there though that Sam fancies then there's no point buying one for the sake of it.

Be excited to get Diarra though, nice to have someone to groom as a successor to Butt.

If we sign Faye that would mean potentially our worst centre back (if you look at it as having 2 players for every position) is Taylor. I will be more than happy with that! Certainly a lot better position than we were in last season, well the last few seasons.

Is Ferirra beter than Johnson? I seem to recall that Jimmy Milner tore ferirra a new one last season, especially in the first half?

To be honest dont rate either

Miguel from Valencia would be my choice

May as well make a bid for Ronaldinho while we're at it.
