Dr. Nguyen Van Falk
Anyone else delighted Martins is going to get a run in? Ā Gemmill sure is.

Decky
Said something on SSN there now that sources close to Owen say its not as bad as first thought and he will be back in full training next week.
KaKa
Said something on SSN there now that sources close to Owen say its not as bad as first thought and he will be back in full training next week. Ā Now that's ridiculous! This could really screw up our whole season. This coming and going crap will mean we never have a settled forward line for any amount of time this season, which is never good.Ā Why can't he just clear off for a while and get healed up properly the twat. When will he learn? Stop rushing back all the freakin' time you muppet. England can wait!
James
Allardyce has just said on Sky Sports that it wasn't a hernia, just a danger of one, so a long term absence has been avoided.Ā He is in contention for Everton if his midweek op goes well.Ā Apparently its an incredible surgeon who got Shearer recovered from a hernia in seven days. Shak
So he'll be back for England then?
M4
Saw of all that on Sky... however any claim that Owen will be recovering from anything in record time is pretty dubious imo!
Guest jamesmartinsmith
Owen's a fucking liability.
kirkwdavis2001
Owen's a f****** liability. Ā Yep, and Oba is going to start to get pissed off very quickly if he carries on playing like he has been and Owen takes his place as soon as he's "fit" - IMO we let Owen work his way back to fitness then fight for his place in the team. Baggio
Why risk him?
M4
Why risk him? Ā Because he's going to get injured again no matter what... might as well throw him out there when "pretty much fit"
Guest BigSamsBarmyArmy
I'm a big fan of Martins but he doesn't go well with Owen which is a shame. We'd have to play Viduka as well.

Lazy
I think it was tried for one half of a match and it worked great.
Rich
I'm hoping for Martins/Viduka up front, personally. Whether Owen is "fit" or not.
Yorkie
Why?Ā (not being arsey, just thought that was an interesting comment from you that probably has an interesting reasoning )

Rich
Firstly, I'm not convinced Owen will be 100% by Sunday anyway so I doubt it will even be an issue.Ā Reality aside, Martins scored on Sunday and played well enough to keep his place and Viduka would be the first name on my teamsheet every time, if fully fit, as I think he is by far our most irreplaceable player. He was practically untouchable against West Ham and looked head and shoulders above everyone again on Sunday in terms of what he should have been doing for the team in his position, despite not looking particularly threatening goal-wise.Ā I do think we'll see Martins/Viduka, with Owen on the bench at best. Hopefully with N'Zogbia and Milner on the flanks to provide the bullets.
Rich
Without editing my post, I will also add that I think Owen unbalances this "Allardyce" team horribly - especially away from home (which hasn't really been an issue yet, due to his injuries.) Guest jamesmartinsmith
Fuck Owen. We need Oba and Viduka to form a decent partnership.
