Not sure we have anyone capable of doing any better in there. They once said this was the Golden Generation. What a load of shite. Its a piss poor squad imo. A good few players there have done fuck all at International level. How many of that lot would get in a 'best of' Premiership team? Gerrard because he is better than Lampard and Essien. johnnypd Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 the genuinely top class england players would have to be Ferdinand, Rooney and Scholes, the team should be built around them, tho sadly one retired cos he was shunted aside for inferior players. then below that there's Gerrard, Ashley Cole, Lampard, Owen, Terry and perhaps one or two more like Neville and Richards. try and fit those into the side where possible, but if they don't easily fit into a system don't be afraid to use someone else.
