I was going to say I can remember a few times today Enrique holding off a Liverpool player... ...only to pass it to a red shirt
Guest Ridzuan
He is still young and learning his traits. So give him more time and Im sure he will be better. But seriously,he was rubbish today as was most other players.
Sparks
Was very surprised it took him so long to make his debut. I get the feeling that from what Sam saw of him in training, Enrique didn't appear to be the player he thought he was.

Jamie
1. He's 21 2. Can't speak a word of English 3. First year in England, finding it tough 4. Playing in a shit team 5. Playing in a team where our defence is constantly getting battered 6. Hasn't fitted into the phisical side of the Premiership. So fuck off and give the lad a chance. Look at Evra when he first came to England, and look at him now. Jose to be a star

Jose to be a star Im not trying to defend Enrique here but I think you forgot to mention on the fact that Evra is in a team full of world class players. So I think its a bit unfair to compare the both of them. Delima
Im not trying to defend Enrique here but I think you forgot to mention on the fact that Evra is in a team full of world class players. So I think its a bit unfair to compare the both of them. It also helps that Evra was a proven player in Ligue 1 and Champions League. Whereas Enrique isn't. Not at all trying to knock Enrique off, merely trying to point out that Evra was always going to have more chance to succeed than Enrique, if we do not see how they perform on the pitch. I still have a lot of faith in Enrique.

Ridman
Beye and faye would get the nod now like if I was in the arse burning seat Was thinking that too, but who would we play at RB? Geremi hasn't had a single good game for us so far and Carr is....Carr.
Wullie
Crap today, particularly second half when (not just his) head went down, but apart from Given and Beye, so were they all. If anyone thinks he's playing long ball because that's his game, then you're an idiot. He's playing it long because he's being told to, not to mention the fact that there's no fucker to pass to. I'm totally confident that he'll be a good player for us, circumstances permitting (circumstances being the manager sorting his fucking self out). Jose Enrique is the very least of our worries. merlin
Wow ... shocked by this thread. He's done some really good things and done some not so good things. Looks very promising in my opinion. Looks like he will be a good player eventually for sure. Totally agree - is the only defender who can USUALLY pass the ball properly.
Zero
Consider his age and his consistent performance this season, he simply deserve at least 1 more season before saying that he's shite.
Guest alex
Players like Petit were shite for at least 6 months when they first came to England. I'm not making a direct comparison between their respective abilities before anyone starts btw.
Parky
Enrique will prove to be one of our best buys no doubts.
Mr. Snrub
Don't understand people slaughtering him for yesterdays performance at all. Only Given, Beye and Emre were better. People need to look at the bigger picture instead of singling out certain people.
gray
im happy with him, if he can escape pressure from the magnificent fans he'll do well when he settles in
Guest tobiazvanderziaz
I think he has been decent so far. Composed, aggresive and been a threat going forward...a few mistakes here and there wont change that picture because you can think of a lot of reasons why it should be tough for him atm...
