Mowen
I'm sure this will have been done before, but opinions change each year. Say we had to pick a premiership XI to play against Spain or France etc. who would make the grade. I'm limiting it to 3 players per team to make it more interesting. GK: Cech - Head and shoulders above the rest RB: Richards - I know he plays CB for Citeh but he looks a much more assured player at RB from what I've seen of him for England LB: Evra - best LB around, imo CB: Toure - Complete defender, imo CB: Agger - looks the real deal to me, ability on the ball as well RW: Ronaldo - No explanation needed LW: Petrov - not the best, but fast as fuck. I struggled here, given my 3 players from each team rule. CM: Fabregas - what a player CM: Essien - as good as Cesc imo. Would form a formidable partership anyway CF: Drogba - Absolutely phenomenal player CF: Torres - looks unplayable at times Bench Given, King, Gerrard, Elano, Rooney. Who've I missed then? Dokko
Could we not dig up one of the other 5 million threads this has been done in? No offense like mate, just it really is like Groundhog day around here sometimes.
Mowen
Yeah, probably, but opinions will have changed since it was last done. Could always tack it on the end of another one if mods want to though.
Dokko
Fair enough, but King on the bench? I don't think the lad has played since the last time this kind of thread has been done.

Guest optimistic nit
Giggs is still thrice the player petrov will ever be, and him and ronaldo on the wings would be mental. Kranjcar is also a left winger i think. ashley young also plays there, and is better, as is gareth barry in my opinion. who do arsenal have there? joe cole would also get there in front of petrov. the zog is quite close to petrov as well. Pompey? you get the idea. petrov is a good winger but not great, and i'd rather have all of the above than him. Agger is a few years away from being mentioned in these threads. King? doesn't play anymore, and even if he did you're selecting him in front of rio and terry, 2 defenders keeping him out of the national team, and carrager. if its 3 players from each team then: Given Eboue Terry Toure Riise Ronaldo Fabregas Essien Giggs Drogba Torres Subs: Green Evra Elano Gerrard Campbell or something like that. picking given allows for 3 outfield players from chelsea, eboue better than richards, my terry better than agger, riise can rotate with evra. i can have giggs on the left. I am win.

Nate
There's at least one better left-back than Riise at Liverpool, nevermind in the entire league.
1878
There's at least one better left-back than Riise at Liverpool, nevermind in the entire league. One of the most overrated players ever. Of all the regular match goers I know at Anfield, none of them rate him.
