Guest alex
Allardyce doesn't rush players back (see Barton) so I can't see him being involved on Saturday.
geordie jamie
Barton had one reserve game then came on as sub in the next game.

Chase
I think Allardyce will be more patient when bringing Duff back into the first team. IMO Barton may well have been rushed slightly as he was a new signing I think a bit of impatience was involved on all accounts, by us to see him play, by the club for the same reason and also by the club to bring him as soon as possible to justify his purchase. Duff on the other hand has been here a year now so there is no justification needed and we do also have Milner and Zog who can play on the left so there is no need to rush him. I personally think he'll be back around xmas.

geordie jamie
I hope they take all the time he needs considering his track record with injuries.
hakka
No need to rush Duff back, but it will be great to have him fit again and competing for a spot in the first team soon. Think there is so much more to come from Duff in a black & white shirt.

STM
Give him all the time he wants while we have others that can play in his position. Might be good to get him on the bench on saturday though. The fact that he is back in the reserves suggests its now about fitness and not worring over his injury. Therefor games coming thick and fast might not be a bad thing. No need to risk though.
