Alberto2005
Don't suppose Ashley will tap up Fergie....? Sarcastic of course...
Rich
Terry Venables is the name that stands out for me as 1. I can imagine Ashley (who appears to be a bit nouveau in his status as a football fan) being blown away by his interest. 2. He is available. 3. He is English. In fact, I am tempted to wager a small yet meaningful sum on money on it. I love you, but that post is worth a banning.
Menace
Remember that lad who predicted Rossi, Sibierski etc etc. It's Mark Hughes he says.

Guest Beefy
If it is McClaren that's me done, dusted and gone. One too many bad appointments that would be.
Guest Guinness
An experienced British manager is what SSN are plugging, points to Redknapp being the man they're after?

Yorkie
Well Mark Hughes is the only decent candidate. And he's not that decent.

Rich
Hughes is the most obvious current candidate, if we're taking SSN at their word about it being a British manager who looks like being at a club, but he's hardly one to capture hearts and minds! Hughes, Redknapp or Moyes are the ones that would immediately seam feasible.
Alberto2005
Well Mark Hughes is the only decent candidate. And he's not that decent. The football will be just as bad.
Decky
Mark Hughes with a big budget could be interesting, at least we would play attacking football
9
I dont think its they dont want a foreign Manager its the manager they have in mind is British...Surely
Wullie
Mark Hughes ffs.
BlueStar
Like I say, even though I've been screaming at the telly everytime SSN say that "we" want Shearer as manager I'd rather the unknown quantity of Shearer than the known quantity of Moyes, Huges, Redknapp, Venebles, McLaren... jake_horne76
Seems to me that ssn arent saying we are only looking for a brittish manager now,it was saying that on the news bar,but that bit seems to be eliminated! here is to hope anyway

Yorkie
He's done a good job at Blackburn. I think out of all the non-foreign, non-Shearer candidates, i'd offer him the most patience. Would still rather have kept Allardyce, by a long stretch.
