The College Dropout
Bollocks to all the negativity... Who else thinks Harry is the man to take us into the promise land of Europe? At the very least, he's much more of a "Newcastle" manager than Big Sam. He'll fill the team with pace & power. He'll sign more "attractive" players. And isn't afraid to admit he was wrong (Dave Nugent I see you). Join Me, time will vindicate us...
S.S.R.
Stages of grief: 1) Denial - Don't be silly, it wont be Redknapp 2) Anger - It better not be f'n Redknapp 3) Bargaining - Please Ashley, don't appoint Harry. :'( 4) Depression - s***, it's Redknapp. We're doomed! 5) Acceptance - He might be alright, you know. madras
He'll fail. at what ? i don't understand you..you championed allardyce, wanted him to stay but see redknapp as a sideward step (though with a better style of football) you fell for the oliver story and built your own hopes up. looks like olivers made fools out of a lot of people this week. good work al
Keefaz
Aye, I think Portsmouth will do alright this year, although I suspect they won't maintain their push for Europe.

I know his game and he may have all the ammunition he needs now. My answer was to stick with Big Sam and give him money. Redknapp will be found out here, they all do eventually. What makes people think he's going to do well here? Money? The same money people used to argue would charm Mourinho and other top managers? Deluded. NE5
He's built decent teams on the cheap, while playing attractive football. Allardyce built good teams on the cheap, but while playing unattrative football. The ability to build a decent team [and thats all] on the cheap, while playing attractive football, would appear to have "blown Morts socks off". Not mine, or some of you, but Morts. And thats what counts.

Shak
If anybody encounters Mort they simply must shout "Harry Redknapp" at him very loudly, with an Alan Partridge-esque enthusiasm, then stare directly at his feet.

In actual fact, I think that someone who has his teams playing with intelligence, movement and a positive outlook, has a chance. He might surprise us. But having sacked Sam, I hoped for better. What i will be looking for is - how much they back him. That and that alone will tell me what sort of future we will have while they own the club.
