steve_69
.............................Mr Fantastic Beye...........The Thing........The Hulk.........Superman Silver Surfer..........Wolverine..........The Punisher ...............................Owen ..............Martins...................Captain America We might not get them all but with Ashley's money i think we've got a chance of at least a couple. Slight concerns over the temperaments of The Hulk and Wolverine but Keegan has a good record of working with 'problem' players so i think they're worth the risk. And i realise the inclusion of Captain America might not be to everyone's liking but he's got a fantastic engine. If the coaches can improve his technique in front of goal he could be a real threat. Not sure Superman could play left back, lost quite a lot of his pace when he fell off that horse. Lost quite a lot more when he died.

Shearergol
Huntelaar linked in the Northern Echo. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/news/display.var.2224386.0.keegan_targets_two.php To be fair, we've been after him for ages.
SUPERTOON
Also in Daily Express DAILY EXPRESS Kevin Keegan has targeted two of the biggest young stars in European football - Croatia's Luka Modric and Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - in a bid to break the monopoly of the Premier League's 'big four'. Guest teepee
modric and huntelaar would be fantastic i suppose - but i fear neither, especially the latter, is realistic sidwell would probably be a decent signing if we are to stick with a three man midfield
SUPERTOON
KEVIN KEEGAN has reacted to securing Newcastle United's Premier League status by moving quickly on the transfer front in an attempt to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign. And it is a sign of his intentions that the Magpies boss, who heads to West Ham tomorrow without any fear of relegation, is courting two players with a combined worth of around £40m. Newcastle's representatives have already met up with the vice-chairman of Dinamo Zagreb, Zdravko Mamic, and attacking midfielder Luka Modric in the hope of acquiring the highly-sought after player. But the negotiations are not going to stop there. Dennis Wise, Newcastle's director of football, has also renewed the club's long-standing interest in another of European football's hottest properties, Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. He first emerged on to the Tyneside radar when Glenn Roeder was in charge, with the forward's team-mate Urby Emanuelson also monitored. Since then Roeder's departure and the ill-fated reign of Sam Allardyce led to Newcastle cooling their interest, but now there has been a fresh move for the gifted Huntelaar. It is understood that there has been an enquiry for the 24-year-old from St James' Park, although Ajax are in no rush to sell having recently broadened their wage structure. The Amsterdam giants also know that with Manchester United and Real Madrid also in the hunt for his services, their £18m valuation could soar over the coming months
Guest elpapi
I think Moussa Dembele would be a good try, can hold up the ball brilliantly, great feet, doesn't score enough yet, but a lot more mobile than viduka! needs a step up from AZ, still young and wouldn't command a huge fee... and yes he's Belgian

LoveItIfWeBeatU
If you accept the rumour that Ronaldinho may be willing to go to Man City, would Newcastle not want to try to sign him?
Taylor Swift
I must say, even if some of the transfers don't come off, I'm hugely impressed by who the board and KK have tried to gone after so far. This is really punching above our level (atm) and showing some ambition.
sparta
1m£ for a backup LB, ok for me, although he is a ginger fucker, hes not a bad player (look at carr babayaro etc)
Skeletor
If you accept the rumour that Ronaldinho may be willing to go to Man City, would Newcastle not want to try to sign him? As fantastic a player as he is, I'd be wary of signing him given that he's supposedly lost his love for the game and is a giant pisshead by all accounts. This is really punching above our level (atm) and showing some ambition. Agreed. He spoke about bringing in 3 or 4 quality signings and if Modric is the quality of player he's talking about then it looks like we could be in for an exciting summer. 2 midfielders, a striker and a centre back will be the positions he's looking to fill with quality players IMO, a few young lads in other areas (LB, RB) depending on who leaves in the transfer window. Captain America with his trusty shield is a CB in the Rio mold. You have also got the Punisher who is a old skool fullback mixed up with Superman who is an out & out left winger. juniatmoko
How about Wes Brown or Michael Carrick then? Any new news? Players on their way out of Real Madrid: * Javier Saviola * Mahamadou Diarra * Roberto Soldado * Royston Drenthe * Gonzalo Higuaín higuain would be massive... i prefer him much more than hunteelar (which i felt another dirk kuyt)
