2.5 for Kranjcar is nuts. You'd think they'd overpay for him but for once they've actually signed a player on a bargain fee.

Pompey are definatly getting relegated now.

2.5m now or nothing in 5/10 months tbh.

Fulham sign David Elm from Kalmar FF

Strange, strange, strange!

He has 2 brothers playing for the Swedish national team, but this striker, David Elm, ain't good!

James Collins to Aston Villa. Average as fuck.

Aston Villa = England B Team

o'neill has spent over 130 million on a team that doesn't include 1 class player imo, (ashley young is overated massively imo)

So how much of Diego Arismendi have you lot seen (those calling it a great deal/signing)?

That's what I was thinking I thought it was the ex depor man at first.

Unbelievable Niko Kranjar signs for Tottenham for £2.5M

What a steal

Why did no other club try to buy Kranjar at this price. We are not professionals and we don't know Kranjar was in last year of his contract. However surely all those agents, scouts, managers do.

Spurs top 5 this season tbh

I've got them down for 6th, begrudgingly. Put together a decent squad there.

Looking at the Pompey squad... looks like 8 of them will be off in January for African Nations duty

Seem even more f***ed that I had considered.

We've just got Geremi and maybe Kazenga?

Congo DR can't qualify for the ACN, so even if wor Kazenga was good/stupid enough to go and play for them he won't be missing :aww:

Well, if you think James Collins is going to be getting in the England B team anytime soon, i can suggest a rather large geographical reason he won't.

MON's transfer activity is bewildering, but Ashley Young and John Carew are class players by any definition.

He can also point to the consecutive top six finishes as evidence that, whatever it is that goes through his slightly odd head, it works.

Aye, i think though, and i think from your previous posts you would agree, that if he sometimes brought a few players from abroad you could be REALLY challenging for top 4 and even better than you did last season!

James Collins to Aston Villa. Average as f***.

Fourth choice centre back behind Davies, Cuellar and Dunne?

Who is Everton's fourth choice centre back? Or Spurs's?

King, Woodgate, Bassong, Dawson........so Dawson.

But, theoretically, how often will your first choice pairing play together?

I wonder who Newcastle's fourth centre back is...

Taylor, Coloccini, Kadar, Tozer?

Obviously the latter two aren't rated highly enough to get in ahead of RB Danny Simpson.

:undecided:

Dawson used to be my favourite non-NUFC player in the league.

They did a lot last season. This season we won't need to push them as we have other options.

Anyway i'd rather a crippled Ledley King than that sideshow Dunne.

James Collins should be ahead of Dunne. Collins isn't spectacular by any means but he's a fairly solid, standard defender. Dunne is a fat shambles of a player, O'Neill must be mental to think he's good enough for a top 6 team
