Other clubs' transfers

Aye true.

Was just thinking earlier what are the biggest transfers and for some examples of mega-money being spent by Serie A or La Liga clubs on lower league players? We've had Bale, Walcott, potentially Chamberlain go for big money from lower leagues to the Premier League, can't really think of many from Italy or Spain that are their equivalents?

Atlético bought Caminero from Valladolid when they were in Segunda, dunno what they paid but it's the biggest profile player I can think moving from a Second to a First division club in Spain.

Have in mind that a player not in the top flight will have a bag of crisps as release clause, so big money moves are very unlikely.

On that note, what players have been signed from the Segunda Division and been a big success in La Liga?

David Villa obviously, Caminero, Güiza (guess he counts as a success)...

Guardian reporting that Young and Adam will sign tomorrow for Liverpool along with Suarez.

Funded by Torres.

Still think for liverpool for medium future the deal looks to be their best bet.  No point in having 1 world class striker when rest of team (minus a coiple of players) are utter shite.

Tomorrow looks to be a interesting day, can see a few deals going the distance.

I bet a few of the big ones don't actually get confirmed until Tuesday.

Aye, wonder if Spurs have the same 'technical problems' as they did in the last window. The technical problems being they hadn't fucking signed the bloke in time.

Pricks.

Torres gone to Chelsea for £50 million apparently

Good, now those bastard DVD player pinching, tracksuit wearing grubby accent hooligans have fuck all in their squad. I hope this new kid they bought the other days is the biggest flop since Pele first realised he needed Viagra.
