Dave
At the rate the Mackems are going, the quality gulf between us will narrow considerably.... They've signed two players mackems.gif Verge of signing Diouf and Malbranque and Kaboul remain big possibilities. If they manage to get even 2 out of these 3 signed, they will have over-done themselves for this transfer window. On the verge means nowt as you know, its just hilarious that the likes of shithead are bigging up everything Sunderland do. If they're so much as linked with a player then its as good as them signing him and there team has improved 1000%. They've actually signed two players, we've signed two players. But at this rate they're going to catch us up apparently.. they need not do much catching up to do considering our poor quality of our squad. frankly, will be happier if we swapped signings. ours are very much a gamble while theirs are proven players in the prem league. but what an exciting derby it will be.....can see them signing some more shrewd signings with an ambitious Quinn on helm. Piss off and 'support' them then.

1878
That bid was rejected days ago Talks are still ongoing, all Sporting did was confirm they rejected our bid because Moutinho was angling for the move in the media yesterday. He's not playing for them in tonight's friendly.

Also if we'd swapped signings you'd be complaining about Chimbonda and Tianio and wishing we'd signed that fantastic Argentine international you've seen a wonder DVD of and Danny "the next Rob Lee" Gurthrie
Martin Lol
Robbie Keane in Liverpool, fee agreed, reputed to be £18m with add-ons to £20m. Medical probably won't not be done tomorrow, being suggested that he won't be allowed to sign until a player is signed (don't know which player that is). Teasy
He's worth about half that IMO, £12 million would have been fair.

Liam Liam Liam O
Depends who's buying him. Same with Barry, Carrick, Hargreaves etc. Clubs in the Champions League pay what they have to to get the player they want.

And rightly so. Fortunately Keegan has made it clear that he only wants players who can improve on what he already has, if and when they become available. Dave
Actually considering the £11m they stole from Portsmouth for Crouch, swapping him for Keane for £9m is actually pretty good business.

Tooj
Can see this being another Bellamy. I think he's a more intelligent player than Bellamy, so will work well at Liverpool. Definitely not a signing to take them to that next level needed to challenge though by any means.
