1878
It looks like we're going to sign...Steve Finnan Whats up with your other right backs? Injured? You have about 3 don't you? They're all s****. I think Gunter would be a much better bet than an over the hill Finnan but Arry won't give him a run. He'll pad out the team with fading stars like Finnan and Appiah as he's done everywhere else. NG32
Crazy money for Downing. Now Boro have an unhappy player who they will hold on to, this will be like Berbatov all over again.
ChrisMcQuillan
Boro have rejected a fresh £14.5m bid from Spurs for Downing. Stupidly overpriced. Absolutely mental. To think Given was valued at £8m: Downing at £15m!? Nonsense.
Ally
In fairness to Boro, if Bentley went for £17m they've every reason to ask for the same.

Guest toonlass
Sky Sports News claiming Everton are after Alan Smith on loan. I've filled the car with petrol, checked the water, oil and tyre pressures and am sitting outside the ground now ready to take him to Goodison whenever he's ready. Fenham Mag
Sky Sports News claiming Everton are after Alan Smith on loan. Just signed new 6 year deal. at 120k a week with the option of another 4 years after that. SSN reporting newcastle fans delighted JK: "It was important to tie down Smudge, he's a terrific player. When he's back from injury it will be like a new signing to us. For me, this is the most important signing of the Transfer window.Everton can go back the f**k off ,if they think they can lure him away"

Ketsbaia
i meant that in terms of impact over here (mainly referring to jo and bentley), boro have a proven premiership player. english, left-sided, good age......if anything, the £14 million they rejected from spurs was too cheap. especially when he's the best player in their relegation-threatened team. he's not gonna go cheap
