Ronaldo
a full-back? Are they having a laugh, he's as much a full-back as Michael Owen is a dominant centre-half

Mr. Snrub
Richard Dunne to Sunderland Was shite last season and clearly low on confidence.
Ronaldo
Dunne's a decent centre-back who up until last season made very few mistakes. The lack of pace is always a huge liability though, them playing so high up the pitch exposed it last season
joeyt
http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/city-agree-fee-with-black-cats-for-dunne-1807830.html Link to Dunne article. Don't know how reliable it is

joeyt
Seems strange that Sunderland are buying two aging centre backs, does it mean Ferdinand's going?

1878
Seems strange that Sunderland are buying two aging centre backs, does it mean Ferdinand's going? I think Ferdinand needs an old head at the back with him if he's ever going to come good. I doubt the Paraguayan guy from the Mexican league is coming in as a starter. It will probably be a Dunne & Ferdinand partnership which might work well. They'll have to play a deep line though otherwise Dunne will just get raped for pace.
