Keegan was reluctant to talk much about Coloccini, who looks set to join Gutiérrez, Sébastien Bassong and Danny Guthrie in arriving at St James’s Park this summer in a £10m move. “It’s ongoing, it’s not a done deal,” he stressed. “He’s a good player, he must be because he plays for Argentina and not many bad players play for Argentina, but I think it would be a bit premature to say any more until anyone’s signed.”

Fabricio Coloccini played the next five seasons with Newcastle. Deportivo closed the transfer of Argentine in an amount just over twelve million. The representative of the player, Deportivo and Newcastle had begun negotiations a week ago, but the intransigence of Deportivo and the request for more money by Lendoiro delayed the signing.

Falling leaves very Coloccini undermined the defence club galician. Miguel Angel Lotina assured early in preseason that his desire was that the bids were not central to stay in the team for next season. After changed his speech and interceded between the president and the player so that it could leave due to England. The Argentine was trained paragraph of the group in the village of Abegondo with the rest of discarded, as they did indicate their imminent departure.

The contract submitted to the team that trains Kevin Keegan was almost irrechazable, as his representative Marcelo Lombillo said. The Argentine central charge during their stay in the Premier was more than double that of tab in La Coruna. The Newcastle will be the franchise player that the directive was intended to give English a leap of quality and focus of a season really excited after several campaigns grazing decline despite having quality equipment and staffing.

Jose Enrique awaits

Coloccini will be companions to several internationally renowned players as Michael Owen, Butt, Barton, Caçapa, Geremi, Viduka and Martins among others. But undoubtedly the Spanish side Jose Enrique will be their liaison with the dressing room upon arrival. Overall, a template to dream again the Fan 'Magpie'. It is curious that the Depor has made two of his most substantial sales to Newcastle. Following the sale of Albert Luque past three campaigns at the British, now is the Argentine Coloccini which migrates north of the Islands.

Augusto Cesar Lendoiro peina few days ago from the market in search of substitute Fabricio Coloccini. After his departure and his companion also possible Pablo Amo, makes the whole galician has enough urgency in fichar a defender of international stature to close the template 08-09. The shots are going into the Argentine market, the favourite Miguel Angel Lotina. Colotte, Atlas and Mexican Botinelli, San Lorenzo remain the best placed.

However, Lendoiro manages a surprise and continues to negotiate to incorporate a plant. With the first leg of the Uefa Cup just around the corner, Lotina wants to strengthen as soon as possible in La Coruna.

"Coloccini secures his passage to Newcastle"

Fabricio Coloccini will play the next 5 seasons at Newcastle. Deportivo closed the deal for a fee of €12m. The player's representative, Deportivo & Newcastle had been in discussions for the past week, but the Lendoiro's demands had put any agreement off.....

....Coloccini will become team-mates with a number world renowned players such as Michael Owen, Butt, Barton, Cacapa, Geremi, Viduka & Martins amongst others. But it's without doubt Spanish left-back Jose Enrique who will be the happiest to see his new team-mate in the dressing-room.
