Dave
Smith and Tiote in CM then? I'll stick £100 on a loss if that's what he picks. Proven attacking intent, you say?
Ronaldo
I never said owt was proven, like. Unfortunately he might still think Smith's a good player.

Dokko
He might want Smith to cripple DeMong, +1 PR for both Smith and Pards.
oldtype
If Ronaldo actually bets on everything he says he'll bet on, he's either swimming in money or too poor to be wasting cash on an internet connection.
Dr Venkman
where's all this fucking smith talk coming from?

Yeah, that's a real risky bet.
Ishmael
Alan doesn’t come out and say what that is specifically – but we do know he used to be late to training, but we thought he now arrives on time, but that may not be the case. but, but, but, but it's Ranger ffs! buzza
He was turd yesterday, didn't even hassle as we know he can. dropped back down on my "hopes for the future" o'meter!
Cronky
I feel very frustrated because I think Ranger is under-used. This isn't just a Pardew thing - Hughton was equally reluctant to play him. There seems to be this issue about his application in training, but whether he's not being picked as a disciplinary measure or because he's not put in the work to be good or consistent enough, I don't know. My guess is that Pardew feels that if he picks him after he's been messing about, then the situation will only get worse.

Guest andrew
I think the lack of application thing also influenced Hughton's reluctance to play him, although of course Hughton didn't comment on it like Pardew. He could have started Ranger in certain games, and plucked for the likes of Lovenkrands instead.

Guest andrew
Because he has the potential to be a decent player, he's got talent for all to see. The maturity and application has to come with time.

Weezertron
I don't think anyone works harder than Nile in a match, which is where it counts. Seems to be the complete opposite of Shola.
Cajun
If he wants to progress though he really needs to put the effort in all the time.
Weezertron
Aye, but if we want the best chance to win some games then use him.
Cajun
What would that teach him and the rest of the squad? Not to mention youngsters breaking through. Goes against all the team morale we have built up since relegation imo.

Weezertron
Conversely maybe getting a start would have a positive effect and improve his application?
