All ifs and buts, but if Keegan had agreed to sell Barton, I wonder if they had a replacement lined up for him?

Nor sure how true it is, but last night Sky (David Craig) claimed the Barton deal was a swap deal with the other unnamed club, for another player (also unnamed).

However, it fell through as to quote david craig "'they wanted £4m as well as the player", but it wasn't clear whether 'they' was us wanting £4m + a player for Barton, or if the other club wanted us to give them Barton + £4m for the other player.

Suppose we'll never know.

We wanted £4m for Barton, Pompey wouldn't pay it. We suggested £2m plus Diop. They weren't interested.

They're going to David Craig on SSN up north on the story about Keegan after the break apparently. This story is either true or just rumours getting out of control just because we didn't sign a massive amount yesterday, I feel like somethings wrong atm, Why hasn't Keegan commented on "his" new signings yet?

Well, let's just say that if King Kev decides to resign, Mike Ashley should retire. Those billion Arab money could be at our pockets!!! :(

It just once again proves and shows the lack of ambition and another mistake by the NUFC board. We're moving in the wrong direction.

If he goes Ashley's position will become untenable.

No it won't

Can you see the fans backing him if he does go?

Yes, because they'll say that it is all about loyalty towards the club (and not towards single players/managers)...

Unforgiveable if true.

Open question:

Has Keegan already completed the job he was brought into do?

- Get the club back on their feet - tick

- allow time to bed in structure underneath the manager - tick

Interesting question, followed by if that was his job did he know it himself?

Just because he would be unpopular doesnt make his position untenable

He is the owner of a premier league football club not a contestant on X-Factor
