Dave
Don't fool yourselves, it's going to be Wise/Poyet. This week has showed a) how much power the board has and b) how little the fans needs matter. This is club is being run as a business, nothing more. All they'll want in is a man happy to pick up his over-inflated paycheck, accept players hei s given, develop them and farm them out for an inflated price a few years later. There is no good manager who in their right mind would take this job, no manager who will make up for our loss and no self-respecting man who would put up with a board like ours. It's going to be a puppet. This is my biggest fear. I hope it's not the case, but if we turn into a low-rent Arsenal, bringing youth players through without the lure of the capital / recent history Arsenal have so getting slightly worse players, then selling them on i'll be gutted. Not sure i could take us being turned into some kind of football farm. As i say though, i'm hoping that's not the case. The problem is I'm just unwilling to trust Ashley any more. That exclusive interview he gave turned out to be a pack of lies. So I've got no idea as to what he wants this club to become.

SHEARER
Guest Darth Toon
It certainly won't be Wise - making him manager puts him a position where a few bad results would see him hounded out, and there's absolutely no chance of the little shit putting his head above the parapet after everything that's happened. Can't see Terim, as he strikes me as too much of a strong character - we're destined to have a yes man unfortunately - Poyet or one of the young Spanish blokes I've never heard of. Guest Howaythetoon
No fucker of any stature will touch us and no unknown or young manager will survive the pressure/fans. We'll get a caretaker until the club gets sold. My bet is on Venables.
Bad Mongo
Fatih Terim God no. Name that's cropped up from a mate of Paul Kemsley, which is close enough for me. I've wasted £20 on that premise. Oh I hope you're not going to finance yet another holiday with a shit Newcastle manager appointment.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
The new manager will be hated from day one because of the circumstances of how they got the job. It will have to be a continental style 'coach' manager i.e. someone who doesn't mind being told which players are coming in and who is going out. Looks like the board are going to run the club the Real Madrid way. It's a shame we don't have their success.
sugoinufc
F... Deschamps ! ! ! Not really keen on moyes either....he´s done a great job at everton...but not sure thats what we need! No idea what we need....but it has to be a "big / good name" or he´ll have a really hard time from the start and so will ashley! what i know is that we need someone to stay for at least 4-5 years to create a concept through out the ranks. would be horrible to see wise in control of the team for 6 six months or so = TIME WASTED AND NO PROGRESS IN STYLE OR CONCEPT....freaky! Any manager with two braincells to rub together will know that by taking this job the fans in general will not like them. It's just the way it is. Because of the above, it's almost certain to be a foreigner (who won't care what we think) or some fucker like Poyet who at least knows the board back him. I really do admire wenger and what he´s done at arsenal. they play beautiful football have a young squad and dont pay silly wages like us and end up with overpaid useless players like smith. And he still buy "expensive" good attractive players nasri. can´t see there problem......though i know we are at least 5-10 years behind.

Fatwax
If we get in a Spanish coach then this entire this is just getting ridiculous and more than a little suspect. 6 players signed in the close season and 4 speak Spanish as a first language? Surprised Ashley isn't filing paperwork to get us shipped over to La Liga as we speak.

If we follow the identical model, great, but do we have a Wenger to do that? As i said, my fear is of us being a second rate version - not able to attract the cream of the crop and settling for second best, leaving us in mid table obscurity, selling our best players as soon as they show some form and not challenging again. Even Arsenal, with Wenger, have failed to win anything for a few years. What he does is admirable and one league win for them is worth 5 Chelski wins in my opinion, but it seems now they can no longer compete. Watch chance do we have without Wenger, London and being years behind?

Guest Toon1981
Who Is M. Toral (11-1 on Paddy Power)? Wikipedia says: "Toral was the illegitimate son of Duras, son of Ja'rod, named for his 22nd century ancestor. He was seen in Redemption, parts I and II, as well as the Deep Space Nine episode The Sword of Kahless. Toral was played by J.D. Cullum on Star Trek: The Next Generation. During his appearance on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Toral was played by Rick Pasqualone." Sounds like a bit of a character. Never been too keen on the Klingons myself, reckon he could do a job?
