Thespence
I am sure Houghton has the record as number of times as stepping in as a caretaker. Houghton has seen about 9 Spurs managers off.

afar
They'll get someone before Hull. I'm not so sure Dave, I think Hughton will pick the team and be in control of this one whatever the situation.
stozo
It has to be Hughton. Wise would get fucking massacred. I am being 100% serious when I say I'd fear for his safety if he was in that dugout against Hull.
James
poyet or wise and how they will be backed by the fans! top move Ashley u twat! I really don't get this hatred of Poyet. Fair enough if you think he's too inexperienced for the job. But if people are going to hate someone from day one on the basis of the identity of their friends, or the fact that they scored against us nine years ago, or because they played for a rival club, then it is just going to make things more difficult for everyone. All that matters is the individual's ability to manage NUFC.

All that matters is the individual's ability to manage NUFC. He scored a goal that gave Chelsea a FA cup final spot they barely desvered at our expense, that's goodenough for me But seriously the bloke would be about as out of his depth as Roeder was. And what about poor spurs, Ramos would have to learn English, how fair is that ?

All that matters is the individual's ability to manage NUFC. It isn't unfortunately. You have to consider the individual's popularity with the fans, the media and the players. The next man is going to have a lot to do before the football becomes his priority.

The next man is going to have a lot to do before the football becomes his priority. The media are irrelevant, the players would be won over by a good manager. That leaves the fans, and as I pretty much state in the quoted post, the Poyet haters would be their own worst enemy if Poyet was appointed. When the new manager comes in, I will give him the chance.
