NE5
http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~918948,00.html Freak Eye Injury Setback For Star KIERON Dyer has suffered a freak training ground eye injury that will see the Newcastle United ace back on the sidelines for a short while. The fleet-footed Magpies star made his long-awaited comeback as a substitute in Wednesday's 3-0 Carling Cup win over Portsmouth at St. James' Park, and was looking forward to another Gallowgate run-out in Saturday's visit of Charlton Athletic. But the England man's hopes were cruelly dashed by an unfortunate accident while training on Friday morning. Manager Glenn Roeder told nufc.co.uk: "Kieron took a knock to his left eye on Friday morning in what can only be described as a freak accident. "We immediately took him to see a specialist and his advice was that he needs to rest and not to take part in any contact training for at least two weeks. "Kieron doesn't deserve such wretched luck to happen little more than a day after getting back out on the pitch against Portsmouth, when for 30 minutes he showed the kind of electric pace and ability that we know he's capable of. "It's such cruel luck to be robbed of his services, but we've just got to stand up and be counted and move forward in a positive way, starting with Charlton on Saturday." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No doubt i'll get slated on here for saying it but can i be the first to say welcome back son, here's hoping you stay fit and get yourself back in the first team picture regularly. No doubt people won't agree but we've really missed you. It'll be good to have some pace in the side again his pace only became important when the scottish fuckpig sold Bellamy. Guest elbee909
"Kieron'd Eyer" Perhaps he's just knackered it on purpose to complete the peg-leg Long John Silver impersonation. Though I don't know if silver is 'bling' enough for him.

BlueStar
his pace only became important when the scottish fuckpig sold Bellamy. While backed on it 100% by the Fat One, don't forget Cardiff-born Bellamy then accused Souness of being a liar on television and his actions prompted Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd to fine him two weeks' wages - £80,000 - for his breach of club discipline. Shepherd's dealings with Bellamy have become something of a personal crusade against young men behaving badly for a figure not unaccustomed to negative publicity himself. "Too many times these things are swept under the carpet," Shepherd said. "This is a big issue in football. Players cannot be permitted to get away with this sort of thing otherwise where does it leave football? In anarchy. What happens if other players decide to walk off? What does the manager do? Sometimes you have to make a stand. "These players are paid a huge amount of money, but it doesn't give them the right to behave so badly. Time is a great healer and if Craig moves on, so be it, but as far as his Newcastle career is concerned, it will be very, very difficult."

BlueStar
No I wouldn't, because if you remember I never claimed that Souness had the mental capacity to make any kind of judgement, especially on the Bellamy matter.

NE5
No I wouldn't, because if you remember I never claimed that Souness had the mental capacity to make any kind of judgement, especially on the Bellamy matter. Good for you, on the Bellamy point. But what about others along the same lines ? A principle is a principle. You either think its wrong for them to interfere or you don't, you can't say its alright sometimes and not alright other times. That is why despite the fact I would never have sold Bellamy I have to accept he left the idiot do his job. Personally, I would have sacked him and got out of it that way, and for assaulting his player on the field the club had their reason. I will always follow the line that the board should back their managers if they can, the only criteria to interfere being financial circumstances, it should never be on professional judgment. When they question his professional judgement, based on results, his performance etc etc..then that is when they sack him and its really that easy.
