The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]

JAR is fucking gash, would much rather stick with Jose.

True dat. An occasional hammer is all he has. Slower and less of a dribbler than Enrique. Cannot believe anybody would have that ginger freckleface over Enrique.

Spot on, some people seem to be completely sold on him by his ability to hit a ball very hard. How often was that even effective? Always thought he was an average defender even in his prime.

I think people are sold on signing someone it could of been fucking anyone, it just happens to be a ginger troll who is most famous for x-mag Bellamy whacking him with a golf club.

So Hughton has said that hanging onto who we've got is the most important thing, whilst Kinnear - quite openly - has harped frequently on about players he's trying to shift.

Summat dunt adup.

Guy on skunkers reporting we hijacked Beattie to Stoke and he is on his way to Newcastle.

Wouldn't be too unhappy with that, although we do desperately need a central midfielder and a defender or two.

It won't happen though.

Hard to believe James Beattie is 30 already.

In any case, I fail to see what advantages he'd have over Xisco... Other than the fact that Kinnear would actually acknowledge his existance.

That's a pretty fucking big advantage for this season at least.

Hull, Fulham, Newcastle and Blackburn have also shown interest in the former England forward and could yet table bids but may struggle to meet Beattie's wage demands. The striker is on £20,000 a week plus bonuses

How times have changed :(

I would like to think they mean Stoke.

According to the Express (pity it didn't come from a newspaper) Owen has shaken hands on a deal which will see him sign for Man City at the end of this season.

As reported on Sky.

I'd rather f***ing drink my cats vomit than see James Beattie sign for us.

Yeah, but you'd boo Mido if we signed him, so no-one gives a s*** what you think.

If we play Mido up front with Beattie the ? is can Jawsome boo while drinking his own sick.

In fairness, he pretty much brought Tyler and Gray to climax with that rocket goal against Man Utd.
