Duff scored more goals this season already than Dyer in the majority of his full seasons here. Dyer could pass and move at pace. He never scored or created many but as part of our team he pissed on Duff's contribution from a great height. Can't believe this is even in question tbh. He really didnt. He couldnt pass, he could run.. like a headless chicken. It says alot that his entire time here he was played right back, right midfield, center midfield and secondary striker. buzza Posted November 9, 2008 Share Posted November 9, 2008 Duff has stuttered and flapped for the whole of the first half, everytime he gets near the last third he shakes his leg a bit then passes backward. Jonas is out of sorts, haven't seen a decent run from him yet. Cacapa and Coloccini look shaky and enrique is giving the ball away too easily, heart is in mouth everytime he gets it. Beye doing OK. Butt and Barton second to everything and miles off the pace, need a change in the middle desperately. Shola and Martins best we have on field, don't know when owen will come on, I would personally have him on for duff and shove martins further to the left... It's a half dozen goals "for free", regardless of whatever other qualities the player may have, and we have plenty of players who don't contribute anything positive in terms of their football..
