Rich Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 As stuff seems to be working rather well since the "Search" fix and the move to the upgraded server, we thought it probably a good idea to make a full backup of the entire Forum so that in case anything goes awry in the near future we have something to fall back on. It's just a precaution. Due to the size of the database (2gb) it obviously takes a fair bit of time to back-up, so I'm going to leave it running through the night again so as to not affect everyone too badly. You may get some variable loading times/some complete lock-ups as it gets really into the early hours, but hopefully nothing too major. The backup has been running for around 34 minutes now without any hitches. Basically just posting this so people know what the craic is if things go a little bit dodgy over the next few hours. This should hopefully have a positive effect on the forum/database, but it is imperative that if anyone has problems they post them in here so we know about them. Cheers.
