Guest firetotheworks
Couldn't get a hat-trick; we should stab him in the eyes, set him on fire and inject him with bad AIDS. Or sell him for a Mars bar to anyone who'll take him in the summer he's that s****. There's good AIDS? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFNs2mOkKzc
Yorkie
He's really surprised me tbh. For a while i've thought it's his attitude that stinks - and to be fair, it has looked like it. But maybe he's clocked onto the fact there's six strikers at this club, and the shirt isn't necassarily his. Didn't see anything of the game but it's very promising that he's got 4 in 4 (?) now. Ash
I know he scored twice tonight and was (wrongly) awarded Man of the Match, but his general play was still pretty gash. I know it's harsh but I'd drop him against Derby, allowing Best to play alongside Lovenkrands.

macca888
Young Carroll is very raw and has lots of rough edges which need to be smoothed out. I would have thought that bringing someone like Shearer in as a specialist forward coach wouild certainly help the likes of Carroll, Rnger and Best improve. Whether the club has the foresight to do this remains to be seen but it is clear that there is talent there and it needs to be exploited. Carroll has scored 8 goals this season and if he scores another 8 between now and the end of the season, I will be quite pleased. It is also his first real season in the side and not only has he scored goals, he has also set a few up for others. Clubs like West Ham, Wolves, Stoke etc were quite prepared to pay upwards of 4 million pounds for him because they can see the potential there. I see no reason to sell him at the moment but I do think he needs specialist work from a Shearer or a Ferdinand.
Guest BooBoo
It's ludicrous to entertain the idea of dropping a striker when he's on a good run of goalscoring form.
Dokko
He's a useful tool. Take the tool part however you want.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
not to piss on his bonfire, he took his goals well last night, fair play. However his flick ons still go absolutely anywhere. If he can work on his awareness of those around him when it comes to flicking it on, he'll be decent. huss9
he's also really useful defending corners and set plays

Needs a steady partner for that and vice versa, not sure if that is ever going to be the case, certainly not for the next couple of years. I mean he can still improve on them for himself aye, but who's he got to aim for, which player is it this week? Which players moves where? What moves will this player make? They are all pretty much different, its got to play some factor in it. He's not consistent enough to hold down a 1st team spot in the CCC, he certainly won't be ready to do so in the Prem, for me he just needs more goals right now, keep scoring and he'll keep starting and eventually someone partners him, long way to go though. colinmk
If that's what he can do with good delivery then he can become a good striker, no question. Needs to really work on his game though and give 110% all the time.
Pilko
Looked bang up for it, basically had the game won for us within 25 minutes. General play was improved but still not great - he needs to stay in the team as he's scoring goals (finally).
STM
I find it hard to judge Carroll. In some respects he played the perfect performance last night. However, in most games i just don't think he looks capable of scoring, especially away from home. I'd like to see him with a consistent partner, home and away before making up my mind on him. Strikers with aerial threat are a rare thing, that's why i think we need to use him properly.

IMO he more than anyone should benefit most from the new balanced team.

Our team is begging for decent crossers.
