colinmk
We have been linked with his teamate as well Bougherra i think Anyone seen him play? Once or twice, wouldn't rate him too highly tbh. The whole Rangers team is gash at the moment.
Dave
How many players that were highly rated in the SPL have come to the Premier League and done well? Arteta is one, who else?
Guest sicko2ndbest
Jesus I hope this isn't who McKay meant. You know it. Nail on head McKay 'I know Newcastle are after a big midfielder'
Thespence
We have been linked with his teamate as well Bougherra i think Saw him when he was at Sheff Wed a few times on the box he looked good but he has traded up since then to Charlton & then onto Rangers. captainhaircut
Fuck me, the way you lot are going on you would think he wouldn't be a huge upgrade on Butt. Ferguson and Barton would be combative and have plenty of quality. Rangers won't sell him anyway, so its a pointless exercise. I'd certainly take him if the price was about £4m. Guest The Libertine
for all the people who want big money spent in the window, be careful what you wish for. if this kind of player is on kinnear's list then its very worrying.
colinmk
How many players that were highly rated in the SPL have come to the Premier League and done well? Arteta is one, who else? Well depends how far back but van hooijdonk, John Collins, Di Canio, Kevin Gallagher, Duncan Ferguson, Tugay. Recently... Hutton has done fairly well so far, Craig Gordon has been ok although hardly justified his price tag. Can't think of any other recent ones so not too many at all. I think if we signed a younger player then it would be different, there are plenty of players with potential in the SPL that with good guidance could become excellent players but Ferguson is even not looking very good in the SPL these days and has already had a chance to prove himself in the premiership and failed big time. STM
Would be a DECENT signing. From what i remember of his Blackburn days he started off quite poorly but towards the end of his time there his performances had improved. He's an experianced guy and as much as i hate to use this phrase... he's better than Butt. Anymore than about 4m and he's not worth it.
