You know, that's not a bad XI. Get Rooney in ahead of Heskey and A. Young instead of Downing, and that's looking solid. Have Barry and Carrick helping the defence and spreading the balls from midfield, then have the front four running at people Man U style. Really happy for Jagielka to get a start as well, he's deserved it.

Going off what Brummie's said, Young's had a pretty poxy season.

 

That said, he's an infinitely better option than Stewart Downing and he should be flipping starting these games. Ah well, happy with that line-up. Looking forward to seeing Agbonlahor and Heskey.

Downing played well against Germany according to all reports and therefore keeps his place.

Glad for Pique, always knew he was talented even if he wasn't prepared to wait for his chances with us.

 

Good God though, that Spain midfield scares me.  To think that Fabregas doesn't always get into the team and Arteta never even gets in the squad...
