samag
As good as the protests are will it really do anything? Most Football Clubs are now run like businesses and imo the only way to get through to them would be to boycott games, if there is still nearly 50,000 going to every game it won't concern them as much as it would if they were only getting 30,000 for example.....money down drain. Of course there is the little concern of us being relegated too. Do we not have loans which were loans against season ticket sales? If so we need to make sure the plc side of the club know that if they is not a change of chairman and direction the club is going season ticket sale will be down big time. This may force the bank to act as it will be the money men who will remove the chairman not protests

Tom_NUFC
As much as I would like Shepherd to fuck off in an ideal world, I'm pretty sceptical about Belgravia. I'm no expert, but my brother is a surveyor and has read some articles in property/estates journals which have described Belgravia as ruthless. He's spoken to people more senior than himself and the consensus is that they'll only go in for stuff to make some quick money. I was under the impression that St James' was protected due to the fact that the council own the leasehold, however he has found out that things were changed when there was the issue over the new stadium. The Council of course wanted to keep NUFC in the city and changed the lease allowing NUFC to do whatver the wished with the site. Of course the club's plan at the time was to move to Castle Leazes and convert the SJP site into a mini arena and parkland. The impression my brother has is that if Belgravia took over NUFC, they would move us out of town, and convert the SJP site into some sort of property development, which would be extremely valuable and desirable given its location. Guest kiwi
A very fair point. We lose sight of the fact that some people 's sole working life is devoted to making money - regardless of the consequences. However I was for us moving to the Town Moor on or around Exhibition Park - just take the turf. Build a 70 000 seat stadium.

Guest Groundhog
why not just move to Gateshead's "International" stadium, has 4 advantages 1) It'll look full 2) The players are far enough away from the fans so as not to hear the boooos 3) The fans are far enough away from the players so as not to hear being told to "fuck off" 4) McDonalds next door for FFS
