U18s playing at the Academy right now against Barnsley.

0-0.

A win will secure us the U18s league, which will go alongside another decent run in the FA Youth Cup this season.

Newcastle U18s (4-2-3-1): Mitchell; Nicholson, Storey ©, Kitchen, Hoganson; Logan, Sayer; Gilliead, Miele, Maddison; Hooper

Ones to watch next season:

Gilliead

Miele

Campbell

I've been impressed with Kitchen's return from injury, seems to have a good understanding of the game to go with his physical attributes. Hooper has looked good too, but I'm not sure how much of that is because he's a 'man' amongst boys at the moment.

Win our group, not the title, then we go into semi final with winners of others groups.

Northumberland senior cup final tonight NUFC currently 1-0 up and have what is more like a proper reserve team with Tavernier, Dummett, Kadar, Inman, Newton, Abeid, Airey, Richardson and Donaldson.  No idea what has happened to Kadar in the last couple of months, injured i presume but never being mentioned but Newton has been out all season with knee injury.  Fully expect Team Northumbria to hang in for about an hour then see NUFC's strength, skill and fitness take over in the latter stages.  Thats normally what happens in these games.

Just a pity that it has clashed with the manchester derby as no doubt that has took a few hundred off the gate.

Kadar has just returned from another hamstring injury. Serious questions over his hamstrings to be honest, they seem to tear or completely rip far too often.
