Guest Geordiesned
The young lad Jamie Sterry says on twitter that the u18s drew 3-3 From .com: Result: Spurs U18s 4 Newcastle U18s 1 After an even start, the home side took the lead from their first meaningful attack when Kenny McEvoy beat Freddie Woodman from close range after Roman Michael-Percil had pulled the ball back from the Spurs' right. Woodman made two stops in the next five minutes but could do nothing to stop Michael-Percil jinking into the box and blasting his shot into the roof of the net. Lewis Aird replaced Mechack Kanda at the break and within four minutes Aird fired home as the home defence stopped, waiting for an offside flag that never came. But Spurs restored their two-goal advantage in the 62nd minute when Will Miller was gifted possession on the edge of the box and poked the ball beyond Woodman. Laste Dombaxe scored from the spot with five minutes remaining to secure the win after Woodman had brought down McEvoy. U18s team: Woodman, Sterry, Desmond (Heardman 69), Quinn, McKinnon, Cameron, Olley, Gilliead (Morgan 72), Armstrong, Kanda (Aird 46), Booth. Subs n/u: Busby, Barlaser. Booked: Cameron, Woodman, Sterry. Result: Spurs U21s 6 Newcastle U21s 0 Newcastle's young side, containing no overage players or any with first team experience, were under pressure from the start and Ryan Mason was inches away from giving Spurs the lead with Jak Alnwick then called into action a minute later. The deadlock was broken after 17 minutes when Mason sent Alnwick the wrong way from the spot after Alex Kitchen had fouled Alex Pritchard. Seven minutes later it was 0-2 after a long run by Andros Townsend who played in Cristian Ceballos and the young Spurs midfielder calmly slotted past Alnwick from ten yards. Spurs extended their lead five minutes after the break when a Townsend corner was headed Yven Moyo against Lubo Satka and into the net for an own goal. Pritchard curled a free-kick over the wall to make it 4-0 in the 56th minute and five minutes later Pritchard crossed for Obika to sweep home from close range. Obika completed the scoring two minutes from time latching onto a loose ball and clamly rounding Alnwick to slot home. U21s team: Alnwick, Logan, Riley, Miele, Kitchen, Satka, Maddison, Knight, Moyo, Inman, Hooper. Subs n/u: Gilliead, Mitchell, Armstrong, Sterry. The fixtures mirror the opening weekend of the season back in August, when our U21s beat Spurs 6-4 at Darsley Park but the U18s went down 0-4 at Little Benton. Newcastle Fan
Thought Darlington got liquidated? if so then we are sending him to the new team that's below the conference, not sure what he'll gain from that.

binnsy
Darlo now play in the northern league. Cant understand why we would him to there. Reserve level is much better for him than the NL thats probably his level to be honest but its also a tough league and it may well toughen him up a bit. Lowndsy
He was in the squad last night. Played most/all game. Came close to scoring from what i hear. Hit the post and few close chances. binnsy
Reserve derby at stadium of shite on monday night, toon fans back in the old away behind the goal. Its always a laugh over there for this game. Not sure what kind of game we will have though with the Maritimo game in midweek, possibility of players going out on loan and a few injuries. Shayno
Campbell is turning into quite the bible basher. Religion is quite a strong influence for a lot of our squad members, first team and youth players
