Ashley has no one else to blame if we go down

Recommended Posts

Mike and Derek know best.  Their model was going to work better than Keegans.   They knew how get on in the Premier League, you know, with all the experience they have.   I know people dont want KK brought up again and again but I couldn't have seen us in this position now under Keegan, given the right backing.  Ashley has gambled and I pray this club isn't yet another example of his investments going tits up in the last 12 months.

F**ing clueless they are.... a Casino Manager and a jumped up barrow boy know better than Keegan... thats what they thought and look where it landed us. Still want to slap the one that was 100% correct now Derek, you useless c**t.  I bet the gormless t@@t wont be showing himself in public for much longer... 12 months to destroy this club and place it right in the shitter

It really is terrifying how 1 fat cockney twat can so completely destroy a great club like Newcastle in such a short space of time.

Seeing that stupid fucking grin on his face at the final whistle while the lads around me in the pub are on the verge of tears says it all.

Even winning our so-called winnable games against Boro, Fulham and pompey won't be enough now, even if the saviour crawls off his sick bed in time.  :kinnear:

You can head off back down south now agents Ashley, Llambias and Wise - mission accomplished.

Its staggering how the clueless mob now in charge can make so many bad decisions and even worse not learn from them.

The people now running the club are in positions of authority because they are the pals of the owner not as a result of having a track record of success.

They are the cockney mafia.

Sorry but I don't agree with the OP

Ashley's actions this season of course have a major bearing on where we sit today, but this season has been a long time coming.

But..

Halls/Shepherd. They must take some blame for there boom or bust summer in 2005, it was irresponsible in the extreme (esecially considering who was in charge at the time) and part of the reaoson of the inactivity in the transfer market is the obligations we are currently stuck with.

The players. Now I'm not including all of the players here, just thos who signed for the club becase of the big pay packet on offer and don't give value for money every Saturday.

Keegan. He walked at the worst possible time and one which made no sense if his grievances were the signing and selling of players (i.e. outside the transfer window).

Souness. Forcing Bellamy out of the club and playing Shearer ahead of Kluivert.

Paul Robinson. Breaking Owen's foot

Sven. Taking Owen to the World Cup.

The fans. SJP is no longer the cauldren it once was, we are just as likely to be on the players backs than supporting them. The scenes vs Hull were frankly shameful and have contributed to the situation where JK was appointed.

All hindsight I know, but all of the above contribuuted to our club going backwards and sitting where we are. Ashley appointing Keegan delayed this scenario for a season, I fully believe we would have gone down under Sam, Ashley or no Ashley.

As the current owner Ashley (rightly) will be where the buck stops at the end of the season, but lets not kid ourselves that he took over a top 4 club with wonderful finances. He has gambled his reputation with us  through tightening the purse strings, Kinnear was forced upon him as he was trying to sell the club at the time and again, lets be honest when JK was offered a contract until the end of the season we were slowly pulling ourselves to safety so it made sense. Another 2 years however, wrong idea.

Sorry if its a bit muddled, but hopefully it makes a bit of sense

Aye, Joe Kinnears 4 wins in 24 games hauled us right up the league, didn't they!

All of that is true, I have never thought otherwise BUT...there was a crossroads point in the season where Ashley made the decision to take the club off the market and he should have made a proper managerial appointment. The truth is he decided Kinnear was his man to the extent he offered him a new long term contract, even when he was given a get out of jail card with Kinnear's illness he failed to grasp it. We are now paying for this decision not only in terms of league position, but with mediocre signings like Nolan and Taylor, something plenty of people were concerned about once Kinnear started talking about spending in the transfer window.

How can Ashley blame anyone but himself for that? Would Keegan or SBR ever have signed the likes of Nolan?

Don't forget Keegan..... hero to zero , f**king idiot is to blame also for this mess.

Finally. Someone without the KK blindfold.

KK is undoubtably partially to blame. And the one responsible for the rot setting in.

But few involved with NUFC escape the blame gun.

You can't blame JK for taking the chance at managing NUFC - you CAN blame Ashley for giving him the chance. You have to be appalled and astonished he's still here, though - and wondering what the hell Ashley is thinking. And the insanity goes up several notches when you hear he's offered him a 2 year contract.

It seems Ashley is more obsessed with destroying the club and fans than running the club.

Ashley hired Keegan.

Ashley sort of improved us in the summer. In some ways.

Ashley chose his system over Keegan.

Ashley got in JFK on the temp while he tried to get out.

Ashley failed to sell and then decided to stay.

Ashley wants to keep JFK as manager.

Ashley The whole management team completely fuck up the transfer window.

JFK has a triple heart bypass but Ashley decides to NOT get in a manager.

NUFC is close to relegation because we're essentially a rudderless ship.

You can have a go at Keegan, Shephard or anyone you want.. but Ashley has had so many chances to make it right that it really can't lie with anyone else now. You can trim down the above or edit it, but he's basically missed out on at least 3 stonewall chances to get us out of the mire and completely fucked up. It's his fault.

Everyone seems to forget this all started when Keegan did his vanishing act again.............he's got no spine, if he loved the club he would sorted something out .......after that we were in freefall.

if anything has became clear since then it is that keegan was reacting to problems at the club, not causing them. since he left those problems have only ballooned. not only does the club lack any form of intelligent leadership and decision making, but it's being ran without any ambition to do well on the pitch. since the keegan situation reared it's head ashley's had many, many chances to enact some positive leadership and on every occasion he's chosen the worst possible and most idiotic route. his high-level decision making makes shepherd look like einstein.

this is basically the gist of what i am saying. However many people have contributed to this mess no one else is responsible for Ashley's decision not to hire a competent manager.

is he really, Ashley's had plenty of time to resolve the issue and Keegan saw the writing on the wall and left with plenty of games remaining to resolve the issue but Ashley hasn't reacted in a manor that would of saved the situation instead he played along with Hughton followed by JK  and back to Hughton where history has repeated itself in the games lost under Hughton. In trying to find himself a cheap option and continuing to run the club whereby it is now out of control and in a downwards spiral it will cost him even more in loss of premiership status, TV revenue,  high wage costs for the muppets that remain should we go down, providing someone with a bargain to pick up in the sales i.e. new owner, meanwhile if he continues in that vein then League 3  9 as it was) /league 1 championship here we come , been that done that and got the T Shirt, 13000 of us watching a team at the bottom of the championship pre Keagans  managerialship first time around, history repeats .

It is all the fault of that cockney mafia out banner tbh

It definitely contributed like. Hate how this idea is simply laughed at. I guess you could say that Ashley trying to jump ship was inevitable after the Keegan saga, but the events at the Hull game certainly contributed to us ending up with Joe fucking Kinnear as manager.

I'm not defending Ashley btw. I agree that he's the chief culprit - the root of it all - for the shit we're in, but there's been the odd little catalyst here and there, and that ridiculous banner is definitely one of them.

Keegan is one of the catalysts i mention in my above post. Ashley appointed him though, didn't he. Was never, ever going to work with their being a DoF here aswell. Appointing Keegan smacked of not knowing a fucking thing about football.

If we stay up, does KK get some of the credit?

It is ridiculous to lay any blame at a manager who ceased having an influence ON THE PLAYERS 7 MONTHS AGO!

You can blame any number of people, Ashley, Hughton, Keegan for leaving in the way he did. They all have varying levels of culpability.

Yeah, you could blame people like Keegan, JFK, Wise, Llambias etc.. but it was all through the actions of Ashley that it happened.

He made the calls and he decided not to act when he should have. Several times.

There's one good news for all ashley hater's

since he made the club private, he is liable for all losses and it will be he will have to put the money in or call in the administrators to which they can claim from him
