Guest VegasToon
Ashley is never going to sell unless someone offers him an obscene amount of money. We are stuck with the fat ass.

We are stuck with the fat ass. i honestly think he'd take less than that but thinks the prices set (and agreed possibly by moat and sheard) are the going rate with the club in its present state. except they cant get the money. manorpark
Always count on Manor Park for that little bit more grinding negativity Interesting Stevie-Mac, I think REALITY is the word you are struggling for. Seriously, are you not as totally pi**ed off with this as I (and everyone I know) is? C'mon!
SteveMc
Yes I am. But I'd rather invest in a little bit of hope than consign myself to total misery.

manorpark
Yes I am. But I'd rather invest in a little bit of hope than consign myself to total misery. I think (again) the word is REALITY (not 'total misery'). What facts are there to support the 'hope' thing? Or is it BLIND hope? We can all do that, I suppose. Listen mate I'm as fed up with all this as the next man and at times I've thought (fleetingly) about packing in. But I'll be there at Cardiff next Sunday having got up early and spent a fortune. And to be honest I'm hoping that my dedication will ultimately be rewarded with a return. That might be delusional but hoo hum

I gave up my season ticket that I had had for 21 years in the East Stand and old West Stand Centre (standing) Paddock, I just felt that they were NEVER going to do anything exciting. About six months later they appointed KK as manager for the first time! Needless to say . . . But, this "takeover" thing is a real pi**er, but they'll drag me out in a box first!!! ChezGiven
Ashley is never going to sell unless someone offers him an obscene amount of money. We are stuck with the fat ass. i honestly think he'd take less than that but thinks the prices set (and agreed possibly by moat and sheard) are the going rate with the club in its present state. except they cant get the money. If you use the ratio of the FTSE 100 index in May 2007 to today's index (about 70%), then the current price of the club if had still been on the stock market would be about 95m. Whether that is fair or not isn't that clear as it depends on debt etc. Relegation then takes at least the drop in revenue off the value too.

madras
bearing in mind that is about how much he has loaned the club is he just wanted the loan paying back ? as ever i'll wait till getting a bit more than tabloid tails about the deals and prices . Guest iliketoonarmy
Another possibility is that Ashley is a real smart ass. He didn't want to sell the club at first place and he made the whole world believe that he did. Eventually he has some good fucking excuses not to make any signings for the club. Just a possibility, but think about it and it might be true.

Guest
But I'm sure it would get to the point where they'd say "Well there's a good offer, why aren't you accepting it?"
Liam Liam Liam O
But I'm sure it would get to the point where they'd say "Well there's a good offer, why aren't you accepting it?" More likely they are being paid based on the amount of work being done rather than at a fixed rate so the longer it lasts.................
Thespence
Seymour Pierce have worked around the clock to find us a buyer. The fella who looks like doing the deal had box at St James Park & had invested in the clubs junior system.Still I suppose Seymour "Show us your money" Pierce have kept all hoaxers away from the process. More likely they are being paid based on the amount of work being done rather than at a fixed rate so the longer it lasts................. The more their reputation for selling clubs is ruined. Also I can't believe Ashley will be paying them a significant amount of money per hour/week. Surely a large portion of their payment would be based on he final sale price.
