alexf
Let's hope John Terry never plays for England again after this. Lescott and Jagielka were excellent. Can't stand Terry personally.
oldtype
Let's hope John Terry never plays for England again after this. High time for Steven Taylor to take his place in the squad tbh.

Heron
Spain and Barcelona are the Anti-Stoke. Yet they have a similarity, in that they only have one dimension to their play. Stoke can only bully their way to goals, and Spain/Barcelona can only pass their way in. This based on a very small amount of viewing mind. Obviously Spain/Barcelona are f***ing immense though. The difference is that Spain and Barcelona's 'one dimensional' play has won the World Cup, European Championship, Champions League (x2) and other trophies in recent years. totally agree. Wullie
While there's no point making too much of it, it's arguably more pathetic to do it down. Fair play to England, they neutralized and defeated a side that everyone thought would demolish them, friendly or not - Spain were more or less full strength while England was nearly a second string! Ishmael
I can't hear the Capello haters. How odd, usually they're out in force on here...
Heron
I don't mind Capello. Never have. Think he's done a cracking job tonight. This is the England I like to see, regardless of the quality of football. It's similar to Newcastle - in that peoples give it 100% and put bodies on the line. We may not win owt, but we wont lie down and take defeat.

Baggio
Capello's alright, he just takes the blame for England's players not being very good.

Ronaldo
Capello's alright, he just takes the blame for England's players not being very good. Yeah. Collectively they've achieved virtually nowt in domestic football.
SAK
Good win against the best side in the world. Was impressed with Scott Parker as he retained possession under pressure and made good passes to team mates.
Sifu
Credit where it's due really. Capello's tactics worked tonight and it was a good, hard-working performance from the England players tonight. Now, let's not get carried away, it was only a friendly but to beat Spain, after England's recent performances, is really commendable. Well done
