Colocho
Our most important player by a distance. tiote. Barton's been one of the best playmakers in the league this season. Still think he contributes more than Tiote.
PRL
In fairness they're both integral to the team. Wouldn't put either of them 'most important by a distance'
David28
That's not so easy to say who's been our best player imo. Without Tiote we might have conceded far more goals and without Barton we wouldn't have scored that many. You can add Carroll to that sort of 'most important player' as well. wormy
Tiote holds the team together, but Barton is the creative outlet. Both integral to this team's success. Wouldn't say either are much more important than the other, but if I had to choose, Tiote is what holds the team together to allow Barton the time to do what he does. Exiled in Texas
Won't be at Barton's initiative, I don't think, but as his agent (specialist s***-stirrer admittedly but I'd guess he's just doing his job this time) said in the new article above, he's 'committed to Newcastle unless he's told otherwise'. Avram Grant releasing statements, rumours in the media for over a month now iirc, an expensive contract not too far from it's expiration date and a player with a track record that suggests he won't take a 50% pay cut, which I wouldn't be surprised to hear is being asked of him by our Board. Going on what I know of Barton too, if our Board even began to entertain the idea of his being sold to West Ham, he'd take it as confirmation that he and the other players were being lied to by Llambias as he suggested might have been the case, which I don't imagine he'd take kindly to. Not saying he will go, but I'm not going to laugh at the idea of it - think it's significantly more likely than Carroll going. Am I just being an idiot... I thought the article above was fake?? I would have thought the URL was a bit of a giveaway, not to mention the fact it doesn't work. Yeah, it was fake. I was just pissing about as during the game, I kept thingking that only a few weeks ago the Hammers wanted to buy Barton for a pittance and then he dismantled them in the game. I thought the URL would be the give away.
joeyt
Forgot to mention after the West Ham game, but I loved it when he wanted to have a look at the back Hines shirt, as if to say ''who are you''

Hanshithispantz
So good on the ball it's just sexy. Definatly one of the best midfielders in the league currently.
KaKa
Interesting that he started on the left yesterday. Would have worked well with Enrique bombing down the left from the left back position, but unfortunately Enrique was out. Barton hits the ball really well and cutting in from the left as he did with the goal could be a nice addition to the teams attacking play. Should only do this with Enrique on the pitch though, so that he can provide extra width.

Guest Loven11
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew would be reluctant to lose Barton but cash plus his former West Ham charge Reo-Coker may prove persuasive. Nee fucking chance. Why the f*** would we sell Barton and get him, nowhere near as good as Joey. Obviously bullshit.
sturla
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew would be reluctant to lose Barton but cash plus his former West Ham charge Reo-Coker may prove persuasive. Nee f***ing chance. Why the f*** would we sell Barton and get him, nowhere near as good as Joey. Obviously bullshit. Why would we sack Chris and replace him with a manager with a worse record. With this club (regime) you never know.
