I don't think Barton would say that if there wasn't genuine unrest in the camp, added to the fact that Nolan, Enrique and Routledge have suggested or said similar things.

This twitter thing must stop though, it's every week.

The whole of Twitter needs to be shover up Luke Edward's orifice. Either that or we need to stop listen to his shite.

Used to think he was alright, but since his move back down south he's become a complete utter twat.

All 4 have reasons to be a little bitter though?

One saying it should send alarm bells though, when it gets to four it simply can't be a coincidence.

I mean i don't think they are going into the training ground and kicking off with each other or anything like that, but i'd put money on there being a bit of an atmosphere.

I bet that's the case in many clubs but they don't air it in public.

That doesn't mean what they are saying is wrong.

I don't disagree but 3 of the 4 haven't been given what a lot of fans can see the reason why they haven't been given it.

We all know there are problems but I would guess they also know the fans know this and for various reasons it makes it easier to look like they are on the fans side and helps spite the board.

I know there are, who doesn't? It's a question of numbers thought really. There are also some players who seem very happy, I would guess there are a lot more that are happy than are seriously pissed off.

I don't think even what Barton has said suggests there 'being a bit of an atmosphere'. I can't see anything coincidental in that the 4 players showing disappointment are have had contractual disagreements or are being sold (despite wanting to stay).

Joey's been my favourite NUFC player for a while now, but I think we should try and get rid of him and Enrique asap. Their attitudes are only going to rub off on others now, and I think we need to nip it in the bud.

I don't even like the way Joey's playing style is going atm. Seems to be trying way too many Hollywood balls and losing possession in a Charlie Adam-esque manner

I can see reasons why all 4 are pissed off and apart from 1 of the 4, they are good professionals or have been until now.  The club has major problems and people who think banning twitter is going to change anything are kidding themselves.

The players are not the root cause of these problems and they will not go away until people at the club look at players grievances instead of ignoring them.

The club needs to ban all players on Twitter ASAP imo from the back of this.

Thought you didn't care about football any more and were packing it in for cricket?    :fishing:

Look none of us have any evidence, we are all just speculating, so i won't pretend to know more than you but it's just a gut feeling. I just think we have an unhappy camp atm.

No problem, we'll just have to disagree which is fair enough.

There have been a slew of interviews with various players on nutv that would suggest a very happy camp, though not one without the stresses of the tour etc. So overall, I just see the odd complaint as a pretty standard reaction to the uncertainty of pre-season, exaggerated by the instant opinions brought by twitter this time around.

I don't think banning Twitter is the answer. Simpson wouldn't be very happy about it, and knowing Barton it would just make things worse because he loves 'having a voice' and stuff. Barton just needs to be told off

I'm sure there are some pissed off players, which is worrying, but fingers crossed it is isolated to the ones who have contract wrangles (Barton, Jose, and Routledge).

What I don't understand is why that should affect them getting on with their jobs. They earn thousands a week, and are under contract. Why the hell do they need to moan about it to everyone (in public)? All he is doing is playing to the masses. Fair enough, we know the owner and chairman aren't well liked and are renowned for being difficult to work with, but how does it help anyone by going on Twitter and riling up a group of already disappointed fans?

All he's succeeding in doing is letting every team and newspaper in the country know that there is a lack of harmony (whether it's isolated to a few players or not), and leaves the door wide open to criticism and speculation. That will obviously make everyone's job harder. It's difficult enough to put together a team to succeed in the premiership, and to buy good quality new players. This will just make it harder.

Just get on with your job FFS.

Sick to the back teeth of this now.

Disclaimer: I don't doubt that there is a deeper issue to be resolved with the way MA and DL deal with the players (seemingly when they're due for new contracts), but this Twitter stuff is becoming a bigger problem IMO. There will be contract disputes at every club up and down the country right now, but we don't hear about them.

Why hasn't Pardew put a stop to all this regardless of the reasons? He's the manager and should be managing his players.

Not traveled home on team bus according to Steve Wraith.  (I know, I know, its twitter bollox!)

Barton hasn't either by all accounts. Why would he be tweeting Danny Simpson if they were on the same bus home.

(Doesn't mean that they've fallen out though but it does seem a bit odd!)
