Beezeri
Can't see how Fulham can afford to Duff's wage as he wouldn't be leaving just to take a pay cut! He's not that much of a professional...

Dave
Of course he's gone. I believe Hodgson regarding him wanting to go back to London and there's no chance we'd turn down the bid.
Guest Alan_Shearer
It's all bullsh*t, Duff is staying and wants to stay too, Hodgson is chattin sh*t.
Guest Mani
unfortunately Duff is another one of those that are on huge wages +60k type of player on our books.
Guest deathwish
4 million for a shit injury prone player is excellent. I'd take the money in a shot given the wages he's on. We cannot sustain paying wages of 70k in the championship, especially to a player who has contributed fuck all since signing..... ....providing we sign a replacement!!! toontownman
providing we sign a replacement!!! Biggest problem right now. Its fact though if he is one of the highest earners and we are getting 4m+ for him, we would be mad to turn it down. Im sure we will loan a LW in. No doubt we will play Guthrie out wide left until we can get a replacement though.
Guest prestonj1989
How can anyone say we should sell. The squad is so small - Duff is clearly now one of our better players. Yes maybe we could sell him if we could get a replacement but we know Ashley is not putting any money in which is why our only signing is a loanee. Yep...I'd take a loanee as well as the risk is way much lower! "How can anyone say we should sell"...Get real! We're in the Championship with players who got us relegated from the top league and Duff is just an average PL player with 3,5 times the wage an avarge PL player really make a year
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Considering we paid £5m for Duff, £4m isn't a bad price for a thirty year old winger, who has lost a lot of his pace. Not to mention we would lose another 60K off the wage bill. Then again, Duff could be a good player in the Championship.
Kasper
We've already replaced him lads. Simpson on loan allows Ryan Taylor to play right winger.

Simpson was Beye's replacement really, we still need loads more players to come in. We needed another RB even with Beye here.

Yorkie
Simpson is NOT a replacement. Simpson is a right-back, Ryan Taylor is a right-back. We needed another right-back. Ryan Taylor is not a winger; he's barely even a footballer. Ashley or whoever may think he's a replacement but they're badly mistaken.
Dave
I'd be surprised if anyone at the club has considered who Simpson is a 'replacement' for tbh. He's probably all we can get. In fact I bet they approached us.

Skirge
The price is great its the situation thats shit, if this had been happening weeks ago under a new owner and new manager I would be over the fkn moon, but as it is we just cannot afford to sell him. Jackie Broon
The income that will be lost by not returning the premiership this season (£30m at least) is far greater than the cost of keeping hold of the players who might be capable of getting promoted. Selling Duff and Taylor may save the club £15m or so but it’ll almost certainly end up costing us at the very least £30m, substantially more if we stay in the Championship past the end of the parachute payments. What Ashley is doing doesn’t make any sense. He’s cutting off his nose to spite his face!

Seems most dont want to risk the chance of us not getting promoted though & of anyone else buying us in that time if we werent. So theyre accepting our chances of promotion most likely being greatly reduced so we can lower the wage bill right now.
