Totally unbalanced team tonight, nowhere near enough movement from the midfield. And why the fuck did Nicky Fucking Butt not get taken off? What is more annoying is Hughton is probably going to say every team needs a defeat like this to learn from, yet will still play a crap formation away from home and a certain midfielder will be first of the team sheet. If we win Saturday, then this isn't too bad. We were always going to lose at some point, was just a matter of when. All about the reaction this weekend. Its a terrible result regardless. Barton seemed to be running the show and was taken off. Hughton didnt seem to make a good decision all night. Maybe starting Carroll, but thats about it. madras Posted September 16, 2009 Share Posted September 16, 2009 for all the whinging at hughton. i never saw the game,listened on radio newcastle and it sounded like any of the midfield could've been subbed (in fact by the sound of it geremi was our best midfielder tonight). who knows,maybe butt wasn't the worst of our midfiled tonight ? i'll bet he doen't start on saturday though. If we win against Plymouth this Saturday, then this result is not significant. We were always going to end the unbeaten streak at some point, it was just a matter of when. If we fail to beat Plymouth (who imo are doomed already) then this does become a terrible result. Boro and WBA play eachother this weekend too, so at least one of them has to drop points.
