Village Idiot
England's bringing a pretty poor team, since any player anywhere near the starting XI of his club has been denied permission to play. Meanwhile, release for internationals is mandatory in Spain, so some big teams have lost key players for this. Atlético aren't very happy as they simultaneously lost their first and third choice keepers. England's squad: Manager Brian Eastick Goalkeepers Elliott Parish - Aston Villa Mark Oxley - Hull City Jason Steele - Middlesbrough Defenders Ben Mee - Manchester City Martin Kelly - Liverpool Jordan Parkes - Watford Nana Ofori - Chelsea Gavin Hoyte (pictured) - Arsenal Kieran Trippier - Manchester City Matthew Briggs - Fulham Midfielders Adam Clayton - Manchester City Josh Walker - Middlesbrough Paul Marshall - Manchester City Michael Woods - Chelsea Andrew Tutte - Manchester City Matthew James - Manchester United Gary Gardner - Aston Villa Forwards Febian Brandy - Manchester United Sam Baldock - MK Dons Jon Obika - Yeovil Town Alex Nimely - Manchester City

Segun Oluwaniyi
We should have beat Spain. Admitedly, I only watched the highlights, but we had bucketloads of chances. It is absolutely ridiculous that we have yet to score in this tournament.

Thespence
England U20's just got humped by Ghana (not sure if there team is U20). Andre Ayew who is with Marseille looked really good in the 20 mins I saw. England U20 are suffering timing of the tournament as no regular PL player is going to get released & there are no U21 internationals there either. Really is a young squad. Segun Oluwaniyi
England is awful at all non-European age grade tourneys. Not surprising they lose to countries who take the competition more seriously.
Thespence
England is awful at all non-European age grade tourneys. Not surprising they lose to countries who take the competition more seriously. The last time I think we did well was 1993, went out to Ghana who were captained by the lets be honest 25 year old Lampety. Here is link to the teamsheets http://www.fifa.com/tournaments/archive/tournament=104/edition=191252/matches/match=30917/report.html I remember watching the game & North East lads were awesome Pollock, Thompson & Watson. SEMTEX
England is awful at all non-European age grade tourneys. Not surprising they lose to countries who take the competition more seriously. It's not exactly a suprise that these tournaments are generally ignored by England with the dollar behind the Premier League and the awful timing of the competition.
