Guest Stephen927
No point in a 25 man squad if you can't swap and change as you see fit then. Though Holloway was very stupid to announce he planned to play a weakened time, just attracted a lot of attention onto the club.
TRC
Holloway won't leave, its all part of the act.
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
The fines for fielding weakened teams is ridiculous. The manager should be allowed to pick any team he wants. Its not as if he did it on the last day of the season as a favour to another manager he was friends with. He did it as part of his management of his own team, to manage other games more efficiently. It is madness.
TRC
Getting fined is ridiculous, if thats the case we should be fined millions for playing Shola every week.
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Well, that's another thing as well. Who are the Premier League to proclaim who is 'weak' and who isn't, seems unfair on the players involved.

Kaizero
Well, that's another thing as well. Who are the Premier League to proclaim who is 'weak' and who isn't, seems unfair on the players involved. It's not really the players though, is it. It's the fact he's changed the entire squad (-1) from one week to another in the same competition and then back again to his "regulars" for the next week. Was on Talksport this afternoon that all 20 clubs were offered the chance of the fine for this being scrapped pre season when the squad rule came in and it was a clear majority in favour of keeping it. Wonder how Holloway voted...

Guest Loven11
Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has retired from international football, according to South Korea coach Cho Kwang-rae. The 29-year-old Park won his 100th cap in the Asian Cup semi-final defeat by Japan on Tuesday and has called a media conference in Seoul on Monday. Park was not included in South Korea's team for the 3-2 win over Uzbekistan in the third-place match in Qatar. Ex-Spurs defender Lee Young-pyo, 33, has also quit international football. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/9380242.stm

Trucker John, 51, paid nearly £1,000 to have the Red Devils' crest etched. The work took 16 hours and he spent the time reading boss Sir Alex Ferguson's biography to take his mind off the pain. Ecstasy ... badge is nearly finished But John, who never misses a game on TV, insists it was worth the discomfort to have the tattoo that covers most of his back. He said: "It's a brilliant badge with so much history. I'm proud to wear it." Agony ... John Retter's tattoo in progress Referring to the club's famously rivalry with Liverpool, John, of Paignton, Devon, added: "As soon as the sun's out, I'll be flaunting it on the beach - although I'll probably get chased by a load of Scousers." His partner Liz Brady, 44, said: "I think it looks great." Tattooist Tony Gallon said: "It's the biggest football badge I've ever had to do."
