The ranting is extremely hilarious though, I love cursing Argies

Aye is the bit with Passarella that gets me. There was some fella who I was stood next to at River (coincidentally) who spent the majority of the 2nd half angrily ranting to his son in a not to dissimalar way whilst going through a pack of cigs looking like he was about to drop dead. Wouldn't have been so bad but they won 3-1 and played well

la puta madre que te pario! indeed.

Yossi Benayoun scored a fantastic goal in a friendly vs Wycombe yesterday. Head to the usual outlets to check it out.

Think Rooney really could do with a hair-transplant.

I remember when Arsenal's tournaments had the best clubs in Europe in it. I know there's nowt particularly wrong with PSG, Boca Juniors & New York Red Bull, but stinks of big clubs aren't bothered by it so let's hide this by making it "global" this year.

Ooooh football on the telly, even if they are just pointless friendly matches.

Bangor vs Helsinki on the Welsh channel. Put it on to see Litmanen play and he's out with a knee injury :(

Go hand in hand really.

Poorly I suspect since their season finished weeks after ours and so I'd imagine preseason is a bit behind (plus theyre average at best anyway) although they're fans will ensure a good atmosphere.

BILLIONAIRE Toon owner Mike Ashley is handing staff almost £90m of his sportswear firm’s profits after the business bucked the high street trend.

Retail giant Sports Direct, which has 15 stores across the North East, announced underlying profits of £200.4m today, with thousands of staff in line for a share of the cash.

The group exceeded its expectations and met tough targets for the second year running.

Around 2,000 staff will now get a share payout averaging £30,960 as Newcastle United fans wait to see how proceeds from the £35m sale of striker Andy Carroll will be spent.

It also emerged this week that golfer Lee Westwood is in line for a £2m bonus from Mr Ashley if he wins the British Open, which starts today.

Among the favourites for the title, Westwood is sponsored by Dunlop, one of Sports Direct’s main brands.

The amount Sports Direct staff will receive for this year’s trading is on top of a sum of more than £10,000 for the previous year’s results.
