“Aye, but we’re gonna put them up anyway.”

They'll put them up and PSR requirements will be put forward as the main reason, same as what Man Utd have done.

Season ticket holders on 10 year deals are in for the fright of their lives. Lad I work with who's deal expires at the end of the season expects them to go up by "about 70 quid" which he's quite happy with.

Told him loads of times it's going to be far more but he reckons I'm worrying him unnecessarily.

 Maybe he means 70 quid a game?

A 5% increase would represent the average ticket being under £50, but likely rounded up to £50.

I honestly think that is fairly palatable, although I do think we should refrain from increasing prices above that until the region as a whole see’s the average wage increase quite an amount.

I’d also say that cup tickets and friendlies shouldn’t see an increase at all, and where possible we should be charging £10-£15 for those tickets.

And it will continue to amaze me that people lap up that it helps PSR. It doesn’t. It just fleeces fans for the sake of it.

Obviously the 10 year deal was never going to go on forever. But they don’t need to put the prices up again. Assuming it’s another 5%, that’ll be 15% in 3 years.

One of the lads beside us pays 77 quid a month over 10 months in the corner

I pay 38×12 so thats at least £314 without the rise next season

I'm expecting mine to be nearly double

I’m not sure how anyone can be that detached from reality??

Even a cursory investigation in to what it might go up to would surely tell you it’s going to be a very substantial rise?

Ditto. I've paid £550 in the East Stand for 14 years. I'm expecting to pay about £950 next season.

I think iirc the increase for him will be 55%.
