Fenham Mag
I don't like Dave Whelan but he has shown he is a far superior man and chairman than Mike Ashley. Hope he gets bummed to bits. King as well.

ToonTastic
Nice bloke mind His career was nearly derailed in 2002 when he was given an eighteen month prison sentence for handling a stolen car. After an appeal, the sentence was reduced to five months and King returned to Gillingham's team within two days of his release. King's time at Hull City was beset with controversy. On 12 November 2008, he was involved in a fracas with teammate Dean Windass in a casino in Scarborough. King was alleged to have headbutted Windass following an argument. Hull City stated that the matter had been dealt with internally, and both players remained with the club.[9] Windass later described the incident as a "storm in a teacup". On 5 December 2008, King was banned from driving for 56 days after being caught speeding at 106 miles per hour on a stretch of road with a speed limit of 60mph. Five days on from his driving ban, he was arrested on suspicion of punching a 20 year-old woman in the face in a Soho bar, causing a broken nose and split lip for which she was treated in hospital. He was later charged with sexual assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.[10] After several preliminary hearings[11] he pleaded not guilty to the charges at his trial at Southwark Crown Court on 26 October 2009,[12] claiming he was a victim of mistaken identity.[13] Three days later he was found guilty of sexual assault and ABH, having been identified in court by several witnesses, and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Guest toonbaz
sex offenders register for 7 yrs for touching a birds arse in a nightclub, seems a bit over the top to me. no defence for the assualt charge though, although i'm sure there are plenty who've done worse and avoided jail. Perhaps it will deter twats in bars thinking they have the right to feel people up. I think not though, considering the intelligence of such people. Is it not more to do with the fact that he propositioned someone and when he didn't get what he wanted he punched them in the face? I think it's useful to have someone like that on the sex offenders register tbh.

Someone might get that randy cyclist confused with a millionaire footballer bum toucher.
ujpest doza
Yeah, because Barton's offence was just as serious. I'm very willing for the club to pay someone who got in a fight while out on the town. I'm not so willing to have a sex offender on my books. Why don't you use Luke McCormick as an example for why we should have sacked Barton as well? What about this case has determined that hegets 18 months in prison? Does he have priors in the country or something? Seems excessive. I also have to question why he has to deal with the stigma of being a sex offender. I dislike Marlon King, but I dislike unfair treatment a fair bit more. Sex offender is a bit mis leading though, it has connotations of a totally different crime imo . I agree, and I seriously question why Marlon has been labeled as that. However, there is no way I would ever employ someone with that stigma considering how public of an enterprise football is. He's a convicted sex offender because he thinks just because he's rich it gives him carte blanche to grope a womans arse whether she wants him to or not. He's a fucking cock. Keefaz
Apparently before the punch he groped her and said the immortal, 'Don't you know who I am? I'm a millionaire.' My mate did this once in a club. Not the groping bit, but he got in a right tizz with a barman and shouted, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" but, in fact, he's a total nobody so it didn't even make sense. Guest Heneage
The funniest 'Don't you know' I ever heard was Paul Smith from Maximo Park. He was waiting to get in the glass spider and got told to take his hat off, he pulled out the line and the bloke went 'Aye, and your musics shite, nowt take the hat off, or fuck off.'
