Elliottman
We arent really in a position to wish wishing players stay on the sideline though.
AlanSkÃrare
We arent really in a position to wish wishing players stay on the sideline though. But we are in a position where we want to see an acutal footballer at right back.
Newcastle Fan
Anita was such an upgrade on Simpson, it felt so weird watching attack from the right without having to use Ben Arfa.
Disco
N-O favourite Danny Simpson is fit again for tomorrow. Cue your welcome messages for his return to the fold people...

Yorkie
Mind, once he and Coloccini return to full fitness - it'll be good to have a settled backline again. Clutching at straws - cos i don't want Simpson anywhere near the side - but continuity at the back is pretty vital. Plus i'm fucking dying to see the end of that painful set piece to Williamson. That's all assuming STaylor's injury is minor.

captainhaircut
How many times has he given it away tonight? Worse than ever.
AlanSkÃrare
What's he doing saluting the cross field balls before they get to him? Asked the same thing in the match thread. It's retarded, he should focus on controlling the ball instead.

Mr. Snrub
Was abysmal. Harper just as bad, Krul would have saved those goals easily.

Guest Rey Mysterio
The gulf in class between himself and a young kid like Ferguson on the other side is laughable. It was no more than a training match for most of the 2nd half and he still somehow managed to either give it to Steve Harper or one of their players with alarming frequency. Dr Venkman
What's he doing saluting the cross field balls before they get to him? I think it's something to with judging the distance so he can control it, that's a total guess though. He had a good game tonight to be fair, solid defensively. Varadi
Thought he played well tonight - defensively solid, the fact he doesn't offer much going forward is less of an issue when you have a dynamic left side like we had with Fergie and Oberwanktan tonight. alexthegreat
Pardew took the time to say this in his programme notes: "Danny Simpson is also back in contention after a spell on the sidelines with injury and, as is often the case with good players, their importance to the side is only fully appreciated in their absence. Dangerous wingers on the opposition team tend to have a quiet game when Danny is at his best, so it will be good to get him back on board"

Guest BooBoo
Whilst I like the look of Ferguson, I don't think it was the game to pitch him in at full back. Would much rather have had Simpson/Santon at full back.
