All I've said is that Simpson can actually defend somewhat and Janmaat costs us goals. That doesn't make Simpson a fabulous full back but he does form part of a good defence. He worked hard, was a good lad in and around the club and although he wasn't very good in the final 3rd I thought he often acquitted himself well defensively. Playing behind Mahrez and having Kante/Drinkwater to cover him also means he never gets exposed. And he doesn't get forward much as Huth and Morgan have no pace and need someone on the cover.
