Jayson
CH is a tinkerman he just cant f***ing help himself. At Coventry, we kept a clean sheet & both Shola & Ranger scored, next game against Barnsley a defender in Simpson is dropped & neither goalscorer starts. Today, Guthrie who has either directly or been part of the build up in 3 of the 4 goals scored in the last 2 games & Shola who has scored in the last 2 are both on the bench. What the f*** is he doing to the players at half time? What realistically happens at half time is likely the oppositions manager adjusts his side to counter the way we're playing. Then Hughton simply tries to motivate our lot & says keep doing what you're doing. Then goes clueless when its not working. Then he just tries subs in the hope it changes. Its dont imagine its to well thought out, hes still coming from the angle of being a coach not a tactician.

joeyt
Enrique has got into a bad habit of trying to shift the ball onto his right foot and then clearing it up the line, the ball then lands at one of their players' feet. Savage was far better than Nolan tonight, which shouldn't be the case considering he is 8/9 years older than him
Ronaldo
I couldn't quite understand Taylor tonight, he was hoofing it, and looked like it was his debut game. It sets a bad standard for the games we have coming up. Twice he put the ball out of play when there was nobody near him.
Skeletor
Simpson got some grief from the Gallowgate corner at least twice for him being either a lazy f***er or just not switched on. Or just for being shit every time the ball came anywhere near him.

He tells us to back down and wait for a chance, it's obvious. Hes not gonna tell them to back down is he. He's gonna tell them to keep it up when we're dominating, the opposition just adjusts to it so we look worse. Derby likely came into this game expecting long ball. Half time he's tightened them up & made them hussle us more, get men behind the ball. We run out of options & start with the long ball.

It sets a bad standard for the games we have coming up. Twice he put the ball out of play when there was nobody near him. There was quite a bit of that. I'm sure Simpson did it in the first half as well, barely any pressure on him and he just taps it out and gives them a throw-in. It's so self-defeating. bulivye
today reminds me of that saying, "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." derby were crap our lads knew it & acted like they deserved 3 pts b/c we're top of the league & at fortress SJP. they left it 'til the last minute to put in an effort 2nd half, and then undid themselves with thoughtless football. we only needed 1 goal against these clowns & just the tiniest bit of effort and creativity would've done it. 2 pts dropped. Cronky
We have an experienced but rather immobile midfield, and as a result we don't often pressure the ball when the opposition have possession. We concentrate instead on getting behind the ball and in position to defend. Today, as usual, the opposition had plenty of time and space in which to play the ball around, were able to pressure us quite effectively, and came out the better in most of the 50-50 skirmishes. We're relying on the fact that the opposition can't take their chances and we have the class to put away the ones that come our way. Today, that didn't happen for us, but most of the time, it does. Barton would improve things. For all the goals that Nolan chips in, he's very poor in possession and often either gives it away or slows the attack down. Pilko
Steven Taylor is the footballing equivalent of Muse. Not bad, quite good at times, but everything is just far too epic, far too over the top. Taylor seems to think he's the captain, always fucking pointing, or shouting, or trying to look like he knows what he's doing. Missing that chance fucked up our last ten minutes, because Taylor kept charging out of defence when he didn't need to and giving away a foul on the halfway line. He winds me up so much, I just wish he'd fuck off and just play football instead of trying to endear himself to the fans.
Jayson
Ive noticed our tactic on long balls now when Carrolls not playing is just to let it drop to their defender & hope the ball lands back to one of our lads in the middle. Thats all they do now.
Guest TrEe
In all fairness, that has been the best we have played all season, at least the first half. And had we put 2 or 3 of those golden chances away, all of you would be saying the same. But saying that, we havn't been playing all that well all season, we have played alot worse then that and won! I just feel that theres something missing from the team, we have by far the best players in this league. But in some of the other games we have played we have been very lucky to win. Today, that didn't happen for us, but most of the time, it does. Spot on, story of the season tbh. It's also a dangerous game to play, as the last two games have shown. If we pulled the finger out and actually put out our best XI and a decent performance on, we'd run away with this league. We just seem incapable of stepping out of first gear. If we could get the Taylor of last season back I'd be happy, just someone who kept his head down and popped up with goals. We are way too reliant on 2-3 players to get goals. Guest The_Scoreboard
awful frustrating game. where the fook was guthrie??? how fooking lazy was shola and he is doing my head when he thinks he's ronaldo all of a sudden now he has banged 7 goals in. Oh and another thing why do our players pass back to harper just for him to hoof the fucker up the field to no one. Our lead is gonna dwindle if they (Hughton) dont sort this shit out. Isnt it amazing how upset we get about a draw after all those wins
